So your kid wants an Easter bunny, huh?

We get it, you can easily go and purchase one from a shop or a breeder. But we’re asking you not to.

We’re asking you to consider whether you’re ready for a 10 year+ commitment.
We’re asking if you’re ready for the costs involved? Neutering (£100-£200). Vaccinating (£40-£100 annually). An adequate set up that meets or exceeds 3 x 2 meters (£300-£1,000). Hay, forage, bedding, treats etc (£80+ monthly). Insurance plans (£10-£25 monthly). The fact this will all be x2 because rabbits cannot live alone.

Breeders and pet shops will lie to you and convince you that rabbits are cheap and easy pets. This is because they don’t care, their only interest is money and profit making.
Rabbits are absolutely not starter pets, they aren’t for kids full stop. If you go and impulse buy a rabbit this Easter, I can promise you that your child will get bored and the novelty will wear off. The only one that will ultimately suffer is the rabbit. You will get fed up, the rabbit will end up being neglected and you’ll be begging a rescue to take them in before the end of this year.
As a parent, it is YOUR responsibility to teach your child that animals are not disposable objects. Please don’t be part of the problem, don’t be that parent. Don’t buy your kids a rabbit this Easter.

How are these beautiful 3 youngsters still waiting for their forever home? Fraggle, Fozzie and Eric have never had a home to call their own yet
Could you be that extra special person to show them the love they deserve?
