We now stock Orozyme gel to help keep on top of our dog's oral healthcare. Speak with one of us when you're next in. They cost £12.50 per tube and includes the finger brush and long-reach applicator.

Dental plaque is formed by bacterial by-products in the mouth and leads to bad breath, tartar and gingivitis. If left untreated, it can result in gum disease and premature tooth loss.

The Orozyme® Dental Care Gel is the ideal solution for effective oral hygiene. The contained peroxidase system - an enzyme complex of the saliva - helps to maintain the natural balance of microorganisms in the mouth. As the effectiveness of this system depends on the degree of saliva formation, which in turn is influenced by the general state of health, feeding and age, it makes sense to administer the peroxidase system in addition to dental care with our emmi®-pet add-on service.

Orozyme® Dental Care Gel also contains a surface-active substance which ensures a sufficiently long contact of Orozyme® with the teeth and gums. The enzyme complex infiltrates the plaque, destroying the basis for bacterial growth. This process supports the destruction of existing plaque and prevents further plaque formation. In addition, plaque is mechanically removed by mild polishing agents contained in the gel using the dog's saliva and tongue.

This is a picture of matting clipped from a Miniature Poodle groomed earlier this week. On arrival, the owner was told twice that the groom is going to be shorter than usual as we did not cause pain and suffering brushing this out. She had a choice then to walk away but she didn't.

We understand that life gets in the way sometimes and never judge a client when they come in with a matted dog but they have to understand we will ALWAYS put a dog's welfare before a client's vanity. If our values do not fit with ours you are welcome to look elsewhere for a groomer.

That said we still love all the dogs that visit us!!

After further education we are pleased resume ultrasonic teeth cleaning for our clients! 😬🪥Available as an 'Add-On' to one of our normal grooming services.

The cost for the initial treatment is £25. This covers the cost of the brush head that is specifically used only for your dog. Each subsequent session is charged at £15.

Each treatment starts with us applying
enzymatic gel to the teeth and gums. While this is working away on the plaque and tartar we complete the usual bathing process and move on to the actual ultrasound cleaning.
