Luxury does not always glitter !! 🌄 Heritage, Landscape & a Touch of “Black Gold”

At the foot of Benevenagh’s timeless slopes, the land is being nourished the way it always has been — naturally. Our horses, sheep and cattle give back to the earth, creating what the old farmers fondly call black gold — a reminder that true sustainability isn’t new, it’s deeply rooted in tradition.

There’s a quiet beauty in it: the mountain, the rhythm of the tractor, and the cycle of giving back to the land that sustains us. No chemicals, no fuss — just nature & farming working as it always has.

Because luxury doesn’t always glitter — sometimes it’s found in the richness of the soil, the heritage of the land and the stories that never fade.

Such a brilliant way to wrap up before heading back to uni tomorrow — well done, Hannah & Serena 👏🐴

This week we had the absolute privilege of helping a true gentleman, Ian Bennet from Limavady, tick off a big bucket list dream – riding on the beach 🐴✨

With a little encouragement from his lovely sister (the one who made it all happen 💕), Ian went from a wee bit cautious over a cuppa… to grinning ear to ear and asking Daisy for a canter along Benone beach (after not being on a horse in over 40 years 🤯).

The smile said it all – “amazing” was his verdict, and we were told he’ll definitely be back! He also made us very proud by saying what a star Hannah was on his ride 🌟.

Ian, you truly were a gentleman – we’ll happily see you again any time, even if it’s just for a cuppa and some homegrown carrots for Daisy 🥕🤣.

And to his sister – so kind, thoughtful, and generous – we hope to meet you soon too. What a memory of a lifetime this was 💫.

As we say here – it’s good to talk… and maybe I talk a little too much 🤣.
This morning at the beach we had a lovely gentleman riding with us, he was ticking off a big one from his bucket list – riding a horse on the beach 🐎✨. While we were there, we also met the most beautiful couple from Halifax, Canada.

Shane & Megan had just got married 💍 and are spending their honeymoon exploring Scotland & Ireland.
Wishing this fabbbb couple a long and happy life together ❤️. Enjoy every bit of Ireland – and I hope you made it to Mussenden Temple & my favourite, Dunluce Castle 😘😜

It’s days like this that make the beach even more special 🌊🐴💫
