Looking sharp Fox ✂️
First clip of the season 😁 My new medium blades leave a nice finish to the coat and Coarse blades a good layer of protection from mud/water on the legs.
Thankyou Emily and Bear for having me
Has your horse been hogged previously or has a wild mane that won’t lay to the right?
Try the inverted pony tail trick. Wet the hair, place pony tails at regular intervals and invert. Put a snuggy neck on overnight for best results (and to prevent catching in the field)
Clipping season is on its way!
- Hunt + Full clips
- Trace clips
- Creative clips
- Medical clips (mud fever, mallanders, cushings etc)
- Mane and tail trimming and pulling
I am happy to clip nervous horses or first timers (Feel free to read my page reviews)
Fully booked last season so send a message to secure a session!

My first time plaiting with Supreme products plaiting wax.
A rather wriggly filly and a mane that falls to the left but otherwise rather tidy. We Recommend the product 😁👍🏼
Before and after Mouse’s feather tidy 😁 (fore and hind)
Full clip for Inky Dinky today. Blue roan and white underneath! This was my third return to Poppyfield Equestrian Riding School and all horses and owners are very welcoming 😁
Friday night presentation I received the Sue Tucker trophy for Hunt presentation and turnout.
Sadly our season was cut short but I’m hoping to be out next season with more creative clips and polo braided tails 🤗
Field farm was very welcoming today. Two full clips with mane and tail tidies. Both very well behaved 😁
This super hairy fur baby found herself very itchy and sweaty in the current heat.
A blanket allows her skin to breath whilst keeping her warm with lower temperatures in the evenings
My Lister Clipping lasers manage to cut through all the clumped sweaty hair with no issues at all 👍🏼
My first full clip in a while!
Most people have been keeping legs on this season but with the increasing heat a lot of people have reached out for a more extensive clip.
I am still clipping and personally I clip mine all year round. It is said that clipping should stop at the end of Jan to get a nice summer coat but working hairy horses in this early heat can get quite sweaty! (It also looks very smart)
Thanks Demi for having me 😁
Before and after of Cody today. Bum end, half a face and a tidy up the mane line.
A fair throw back as It’s been a fair few years since this horse! 🤗

2nd time clipping this beautiful horse this morning. Extra shiny after a hot oil cloth under her solarium, very lucky!!
We opted for a higher adapted clip to prevent sensitivity after a rehab/appointment later this month

Lister Clipping
As the clipping season draws to a close and summer coats start to grow through, I have expanded my collection to summer competition prep. Some of these items are kindly gifted by Liveryman and others purchased from Smart Grooming.
Preps will include plaiting, pulling, tail full braiding (polo/hunt braids) and show trimming with small trimmers or covercote blades by Lister Clipping. Quarter marks are also available and I will be learning how to clip these too so they stay long term, for ease, just wet and go!!
Top range brushes from the Bostiq range and supreme products will be used for a quality finish
Both of ours clipped today. Mouse’s first clip and using ultra loud lister lasers 👍🏼😄 Very shiny
Eddie’s new leopard blanket clip 🤗🤩
Liveryman Classic trimmers make it quick and easy to clip patterns and blend manes/legs without clipper lines
Look what came for me this morning!! 😋 liveryman Classics, Just in time for Eddie’s tricky clip this weekend, very much appreciated Liveryman , Thankyou! 😁
Beautiful Elmo that I clipped the other week, he was very sweet and calm, he’s available too if anyone is interested!

Complete 🤗
Archie’s left side complete in time for this morning 😌
How cute!!
It’s scary how bold Mouse is at only 15 months! She’ll chase you down the field for a plastic bag!! No problem at all with heavy or light duty clippers 🤗☺️
Sneak peek at Archie’s new clip (in progress)!! BH since 1672 is to be added on the left hind quarters. Contemplating trying the Pony Club logo too, fiddly! 😯 Lister Clipping Clipperman Liveryman
Now he’s grown out a bit, his name looks so vibrant!!
We bought a new pulling knife which is sharper than the combs so easier to use and causes less pulling on the mane
Last minute call out to these lovely horses at copperfield_equestrian
Here’s the lovely Elmo, down from Ireland in sales livery, he’s so sweet!! 🥴🥰
What a beautiful horse 🥰 Clean and calm, a nice end to a super busy clipping day!

Eddie had the Liveryman logo engraved onto his coat today 🤗 Liveryman
Slightly fidgety boy this morning! His coat was as thick as a mammoth but two goes over with various clipper blades did the job. Thankyou Helen for having us
Cute star for a cute pony. I was asked to clip a pony bought from Rednil riding stables today. She was a an absolute star ⭐️
Rubbed over with baby oil and a hot water cloth, looking super shiny!
I need to get a better quality camera!! 😯

First attempt at the skeleton... 😯
I’m going to try again on the other side and make sure it’s perfect but I do need to check up on my anatomy!! 🤭😅
Can you see it? 😵🤭😅
My beautiful boy Archie today 🤗
Last time I got the clippers out he had a meltdown, today he stood for an art session and even had up to the head taken off!! Good boy 😋
Fox’s trim this morning.
Hope had decided that she didn’t like the giraffe print.... until I had clipped a crown into the other side and finished the print off, she now loves it!!
Oh well! Next time the pony will be 100% giraffe but at least it worked!!
Archie needed some TLC before his hunter training this morning 🤗 Contemplating hogging but this horse has a lovely mane!!
I offer pulling/trimming/thinning and hogging as services. Pm for dates 📥
Future ideas 💭🤣
