The adorable Tilly! 🐶
This little lady came in for her welfare groom recently. She's 15 years old and has a heart condition so keeping the space calm for her is always a must.
Over the years, Tilly has found a hate for grooming and so I give her a little tidy up using some scissors instead - keeping both her and my hands happy! ❤️

I had the pleasure of visiting Broken Biscuits recently to groom grandpa dog Pongo.
Pongo is paraplegic, therefore getting him to stand for long amounts of time is impossible. However, that didn't stop me from getting to professionally groom this lovely pooch. ❤️

Let’s talk - De-shed bath and tidy up!✂️
I thought I’d start a little series going into depth of each my treatments to give owners a better idea of what to expect. 😊
So, for the de-shed bath and tidy, here’s what happens! Firstly, if a dog is short haired, I give them a good brush to remove any loose hair then I’ll bath and blow dry them before tidying their paws, and clipping their nails and pads.
For long haired pooches such as double coated breeds E.g. Collies, Golden Retrievers and Newfoundlands, the same procedure happens, as well as a general tidy up of the coat using scissors - usually I incorporate feathers on the legs, the undercarriage, the rear end and on the tail.
This is just to give the dog a neat outline, but nothing too drastic as double coated dogs should not be clipped as it damages their coat. Finally, I apply a special doggy cologne which will keep them smelling fresh for a few more days. 🥰🐶
