Another fantastic lesson for Tatty with Kerry this week🫶🏼

Sadly the videos of him being a little toad throwing himself around, bucking and running off have now stopped - he’s like a new pony who listens and behaves!!!🐴 thank you as always Kerry for your magic touch! ✨

(We also introduced Tatty to gorgeous George the dog who was almost as big as him🤣)

Yesterday, Angel had a new jockey for the day🥹 both Ernie and Angel loved their walk around the village and they were SO good with each other🥰

It’s a rainy start to the weekend (unsurprisingly🤣) so it’s a stable day for the ponies🐴 🌧️

Maisie will take any excuse for a snooze so she’s quite happy 💤 … but keeping the other two out of trouble is another story 🤭🩷💜💙

What a gorgeous day to start a new week🌞

This morning, Maisie and I went for a hack around the village (it was more of a mooch as Mase really wasn’t feeling it🤣)

…then after a quick snooze, the ponies went back out for some sun on their backs and grass in their bellies☀️🌱 🩷💜💙

Absolutely over the moon with Tatty today🥹🌙 we previously qualified and today attended the Grassroots Championships and came 7th in the Mountain and Moorland class!!! 🏆🤴🏻🏅

From start to finish, he was an absolute dream - and I didn’t think I’d be saying that a few months ago!! Thank you SO much to Kerry for your patience and hard work with us both, today was a reflection on all you have taught us and we probably wouldn’t have made it without you😅🩵

And a massive thank you to Jade and Ernie who were both a huuuuge help throughout the day, cheering us on and taking some snaps 📸🥹

This little dude excelled himself in his last lesson with Kerry! 🌟 after not being out in the trailer on his own for months, he travelled foot perfect both ways and was such a good boy during his lesson!

We still have plenty to work on (don’t be fooled🤣) but I’m beyond pleased with him🥹

Thank you Kerry for your patience as always - this lesson proved just how far he’s come🥰

Feeling more prepared for our outing on Friday now 👀🤩💙💙💙

Another week means another lesson with Steph and Maisie 👸🏼🦄 ft my little helper!

It was a really good, forward and strong lesson with a lot of lateral work and some half pass zig zags🤩 Maisie has been quite rude on downwards transitions lately but after a few practices, Steph sorted her out!

I’m really pleased with Maisie and the work she produced as was Steph, which is always nice to hear☺️✨

(I’m sure Maisie spends most of her time dozing, especially when the camera comes out🤣)

Despite the sun shining and the clock striking 5 on a gorgeous Friday afternoon ☀️ unfortunately Angel is still very unwell🤒

We had another visit from the vet yesterday and have some more medication to take for a further 10 days to try and fight an infection and reduce her temperature😢

I can not thank Barbara from Pegasus Vets enough, what a genuine, knowledgeable and caring vet with regular updates, consistent messages of support and speedy service✨

Sadly Barbara alone has had 7 cases of this mystery illness within the last few weeks, I’m just fortunate Angel is still fighting it as sadly some equines haven’t been so lucky😣

Again, we have everything crossed for a speedy and healthy recovery and I’m trying to stay positive🤞🏼so much so we had time for some selfies in the sun 🤳 ☀️ ❤️‍🩹 💜💜💜

Although we’re not out of the woods completely, Angel seems to be on the up again after a rough few days🥹 she’s definitely getting her appetite back, drinking more and starting to graze again. The vet bill isn’t quite as healthy(!) but Angel being here, happy and healthy(ish) is the main thing😇💜💜💜

After a really tough week, a lesson was well needed today (for both of us!). As expected, Maisie was sassy and quite mouthy to begin with but ended up producing some lovely work. I feel I’ve lost confidence slightly so this lesson was the boost I needed to push on - quite literally! And how much does Maisy suit that gorgeous bright blue😍🩷🩷🩷

48 long hours since the last update... and I’m pleased to say things are looking brighter for Ange🥹

She’s still no where near to being 100% herself but she’s eating a little more 🌾 and drinking more frequently 💦 her temperature has come down slightly and she seems more comfortable which is the main thing 💪🏼🤞🏼

Maisie did give her a nice groom earlier🥰 (as you can tell by her white tash 🥸🤣)

I have everything crossed that she’s on the mend - come on Ange ❤️‍🩹🙏🏼💪🏼✨💜💜💜

Lovely walk with the girls this evening🦄 🦄 🩷💜

Sadly we have a very poorly Angel so trying to keep her moving and as comfortable as possible. We know she has a severe infection, dangerously high temperature and colic symptoms as a result of this😢 she’s as comfortable as possible and is being checked on frequently - every lip curl or funny noise she does makes me panic though!😥 BUT she’s a fighter and is getting slowly better each day 💪🏼

Maisie reluctantly joined us for the walk (she’s grumpy that the attention isn’t on her, sassy mare🤨🤣)

The lucky ponies had a physio session yesterday with the brilliant Louise Allen Veterinary Physiotherapy 🌟

As always, Louise provided a top class service🥇Maisie and Gee absolutely loved it - you can always tell such a positive difference after they have had a session 💆🏻‍♀️🧘‍♀️

Louise even had a little helper this time🤭🐴🩷❤️💙

Special delivery for the ponies this morning! ✉️📮

Darren of Unwin Equine Resources has sent the girls some new feed bucket lids 🪣 (or shower caps 🧢🚿🤣)

I've worked with Darren for many years with many different horses. Darren has a huge amount of knowledge and experience and is extremely supportive. He’s been a huge part of mine and the ponies lives and will continue to be for many more years🥰

We would all highly recommend for any of your ponies needs👌🏻🤩💯

Happy birthday to the biggest white princess to ever exist👸🏼🦄 🎈🎁 🥳

So far Angel has had a lovely day eating cake (videos to follow 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣), having a ride around the school to burn the cake off 🎂🥵 and now she’s chilling in the heat with her cap and shades 😎🧢

Her birthday marks another year together which means another year of stress and worry but also lots of highs and laughs🥲🥰

Happy birthday Angel, I hope we get to celebrate many more together🥰💜💜💜💜

A lovely hack in the sun today with Mase and Gee 🦄 ☀️🚶🏾‍♀️🦄

We had a steady mooch (when Gee’s batteries ran out 🔋 🪫) around the village and enjoyed the shaded back lanes! Followed by a nice cool sponge 🧽 down which sent Maisie to sleep 😴

A small snippet of little and large enjoying their hack yesterday🥹🐴🦄💙💜 (Tatty’s legs had to work 3 times as hard as Angels as you can tell🤣)

Another week means another lesson for Tatty🤠 he was the best he has ever been! We worked on our trot work ready for the show ring (coming soon!). Tatty doesn't need any encouragement to go faster so Kerry is teaching us to use up and downward transitions through body language to slow the little beast down🐎 he did so well AND we both managed to keep hold of him and stay on our feet this time🤣 ⭐️🐴💙

Safe to say someone is feeling good today! It must be the glimpse of sunshine 🌞⛅️💛

Another day, another adventure☺️ Maisie was a brill girl in her latest lesson with Steph! She had some sass in the canter(!) but overall produced some lovely work ✨ we used the judges comments from this past weekends results sheet to know what areas we need to work on to continue improving our scores 🏆 looking forward to our next outing already🩷🩷🩷

Turns out little Tatty forgets how small he is when it comes to jumping!!! We could have doubled the jumps and he’d still have plenty of daylight between his little belly and the poles😅🩵

We’re feeling Christmassy this week after finishing our final lesson with Steph before Santa arrives🎅🏽 .. Maisie was a brill girl, a little flat in places but that is likely to be down to the poor weather lately reducing the work she’s in (or maybe she’s been snacking on too many mince pies 🥧😋) 🦄💖

This week it was Tatty’s turn to have another lesson … only this time, Kerry got to see why he sometimes gets called tw*tty Tatty🤣 he was on home turf and feeling confident so this time it took a while longer to get him to engage. However, we didn’t give up and by the end got some lovely work from him🥰 looking forward to next weeks lesson already🐴💙
