The following cancellation charges will apply to dog walking:
If cancelled with less than 7 days notice of the start date, full payment will be required
8. The following cancellation charges will apply to all other services:
If you cancelled between 1-7 days, full payment will be required. If you cancel between 8-14 days, the deposit will be kept. If you cancel with 14+ days’ notice there will be no charge and your deposit returned.

If you need a pop in visit for your feathered/furry friends for company/ feed or just to check on them. A walk in the sun(we'll find them puddles), cuddles with a pup or wrestling a hyaena 😉(we know there's some out there). Try us House of paws pet carer's.

Remember as the temperature rises 🫠our furry friends feel it more then us ! If you can't stand bare foot on the path, they CAN'T. You risk burning their paws. As much as they want to play fetch (and they will) in high temp , you as the pet parent need to make the call NOT to play. You risk them suffering heatstroke. They pant because their hot, not because their having lots of fun !!!! The heavier they pant the hotter they are .....they need to stop and cool down . Shade, water, rest.
All that said, it's your call,your pet ,your decision.....your vet bill!

A little bit of information...best way to cool a dog down.....

1)place them in the shade.

2)offer water.

3)wet their paws, belly, neck, inner thighs with water.(Repeat until normal breathing résumés)

4)put a fan on, or your AC in your vehicle to cool the air around them.

The sun proved too much for some of our friends this week ....there was fainting , tongues sticking out , obvious poser amongst the flowers (just needs her shades)and one thinking (presumably) what is that yellow thing in the sky 🌞...

❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌ Hemolytic Anemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog has been reported to suffer from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!
