The main drawback arises when a dog is treated like a human being, as their basic needs are often subconsciously ignored. This can then result in behavioral problems, which are often only considered as simple ‘‘whims’’ and overlooked

Dogs do the zoomies for a few reasons:

• Pent-up energy – If they haven’t had enough exercise or play, they might zoom to release energy.
• Excitement and happiness – Some dogs get the zoomies after a bath, during playtime, or when their favorite human comes home.
• Relief – After pooping or finishing a stressful situation, some dogs zoom as a way to shake off tension.
• It’s just fun – Sometimes, they just enjoy running full speed for no reason!

Zoomies are totally normal and a sign of a happy, healthy dog. Just make sure they’re in a safe space so they don’t knock anything over!
