Hope you are all well!
So I debated posting about this but it is more about best practice than the actual incident......
Last week I was quite badly bitten by a dog, leaving me on antibiotics and needing a tetinus, and quite painful legs π€¦π»ββοΈ
It was a dog I'd groomed several times before and had no previous issues with , the groom was fine it was after when returning to rebook and unplug ect.
So with this in mind going forward.......
Please have your dog on a lead so they can't run straight out when I arrive, also secure them when they return to the house when making payment/rebooking ect.
Please make sure your dogs are well walked and toileted before they are groomed, it makes for a much calmer groom and burns off some excitable energy they may have.
I may ask you to walk your dog to the van and ring to collect once groomed.
This was a one off incident and I feel no differently towards any of your dogs that I groom, but it's a reminder that as a groomer, with all the dogs I come into contact with, that these things can happen, it's obviously made me feel slightly more cautious.
But as I said this is more of a reminder of best practice and not about the incident, and they will all still receive the same amount of cuddles and fuss as usual π₯°
Much love as always β€ πΆ
