For those with little ones, this a lovely local business!

⚠️SMALL BUSINESS REALITY .. ⚠️
We don’t want to go 💔

This is a post we have debated posting for a couple of weeks now, and certainly not one that we wanted to upload. However, as a small business it is important that we are honest with our customers.

Like many other small businesses we are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of bills, wages etc and over the past couple of months we have seen a decrease in customers coming through the door making it more and more difficult to stay afloat.

We opened little lincoln in October 2022 and invested everything we had invested everything into that. We continuously make so many plans to create events and fun filled sessions, and this is just something we love doing, but with the way things are going, by the end of summer, won’t be able to.

As a team, we will do what we can to continue to keep such a wonderful place open in the area as we believe it’s what is needed, and we love seeing our regular customers every week. We’re so lucky that for the time being our staff are putting the work in where they can, and We are lucky that we have continuous birthday party bookings every week, but even with this, we are having to reduce hours to keep finances slightly adjusted which keeps us floating ever so slightly.

We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone at the moment but we really do need your help to keep going. Even if this is just spreading the word about us, sharing our posts/events, tagging friends in our posts who haven’t visited us before, etc ..

Thank you to everyone who supports us and we hope you can understand why a post like this was necessary.

Franky & Chloe❤️❤️

MISSING from Burton Rd

Just spoken with Newport VH and they still have vouchers to be used @ Skellingthorpe branch. If you fit the criteria please call 800333 to get your cat(s) booked in.

We are still keen to get this fella the help he needs, the home he is thought to have had is definitely not his home. We have had lot's of messages, thank you! He seems to have a loop he does around Honington/ Breedon Drive/ Thorpe/ Burton Road and the allotments. We have a trap ready or if anyone can get him in a porch/garage that would be amazing. I don't think this will happen as anyone gets near him, he is gone. Our store is open over next 3 days so please could you text any info to 07944982079 as I'm not sure when I will see messages. Thanks in advance.

👀Looking for a new 5⭐️ Home 😻

Details:
Not exactly sure on age but the vet's advice is about 6yrs old
Domestic Shorthair - Ginger Tabby & White
Neutered
Flea treatment up to date (February 2024)
Not Vaccinated
Micro Chipped

Health:
Although a little over weight, Bob has recently been checked over by the vet and found to be in good health with no issues. He has not been vaccinated, but he is flea free with his flea treatment maintained and up to date.

Personality:
Bob is a well tempered and very friendly cat who likes to be fussed and brushed. He's good with children and tolerates all the petting and stroking. He's a big lazy thing and likes to sleep a lot. He's not very good with strangers and will run and hide from people until he gets to know them.

Reason for re-homing:
Although we love Bob dearly, we are both pensioners, and our health has deteriorated to such a degree, especially mobility, that we are unable to care for Bob properly any more especially at night time. We are doing ourselves more harm than good by continuing to try to look after Bob and have therefore decided to re-home him to a good and loving home. We hope someone will help.

Genuine Enquiries please message us and we will pass on the owner's details. New home will be vetted.

It's World Down Syndrome Day tomorrow and we would really appreciate it if any of our friends and families could wear odd socks tomorrow and post a picture of themselves/kids wearing them to help raise awareness for people with Trisomy21. (Either on your own social media platforms or below).
We're not asking for any financial contributions towards the fabulous charities that have helped us on this unexpected journey we are having to take, but by doing this one simple free gesture, you are helping raise awareness and changing people's perception of what was once considered a disability, but is now considered just a difference.
Thank you so much in advance, you are appreciated! 🥰❤😍😘
Jamie loves you all!!! 💙😊

Thank you so much for all your amazing help help in such a short space of time. 🥰😍

🎄URGENT APPEAL 🎄
We took in 4 cats (FOC) a few months ago from our local vets, who rescued them from the floods in Langworth, from a lovely elderly lady who lost everything when her bungalow flooded.
Long story short, someone who was going to foster the cats and was supposed to collect them today has let the lady down and she is now desperate for someone to foster them, they don’t have to stay together.
They are REALLY nice cats (and we aren’t just saying this), they are clean, friendly and no trouble at all. We just cannot keep them in the cattery any longer as we are full for Christmas.
A huge thank you in advance if you can help in anyway, even sharing this post is a huge help, hopefully the community can pull together and help out in some way.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.
Every day we will be sharing a fact about Down syndrome.

We hope you find these interesting and informative!

Here is the fact for Day 1.

🤍🤍🤍 This beautiful boy is still up for adoption, his name is Olaf and is a real gentleman.
He is 6/7 yrs and one of the most lovely placid cats you could ever meet. It will be really sad to see him go but now it’s his time to find his furrever home.
We are looking for him to be an only cat , no other dogs/cats or young children, just someone who can spend time with him and give him all the love and fuss he deserves.

Gemimas Cattery is officially back open as of yesterday after a 3wk break, (barring the cats that were already booked in 😝😻).
The reason we were closed is we were welcoming home our little baby boy Jamie 💙. After arriving over 9wks early the little fella spent his first 9wks in intensive care. Following the diagnosis of high risk for Trisomy21 (Down’s syndrome) at our 24wk scan, we were then led to believe at the following scans that he was clear of any health abnormalities. Unfortunately, this was far from reality and he had to be brought into this world via c-section nearly 10wks early due to a low heart beat and upon arrival they discovered he had an Oesophageal Atresia, a Tracheal Oesophageal Fistula, a Duodenal Atresia and complete AVSD. He has had everything except the holes in his heart repaired which will be done as soon as he is 4kg. The hospital staff in NICU in Lincoln and Nottingham are AMAZING, we cannot thank them enough for saving our little boy! 💙
He is now nicely settled at home and we are getting into a nice routine with running the business.
We’d like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to you all for baring with us over the last few months whilst we dealt with the ordeal and we apologise if emails, messages and requests have taken a while to be responded to. We look forward to a lovely summer looking after all your precious little kitties. 😻😻😻😻😻

This beauty’s care is well into the £thousands already, the local cat charity Cats in Crisis Lincoln would appreciate any donations at all, no matter how small, Gemimas Cattery Lincoln will match any donations made by our clients, please post below (or privately message us if you prefer), any amounts you donate.
Thank you for being so kind and reading or sharing this. 🥰💞
Donations of unwanted items are also taken by the charity for their shop and car boot sales 🥰💞

Thank you to those that have donated, your support is very much appreciated.
Rufus (Ginger RTC) As you may have seen this fella was hit by a car last week resulting in head trauma and major abdominal wall injuries. His neurological signs have improved over the last few days, he can now see again. He is eating, drinking, purring and loving lot's of fuss. However the injuries to his abdominal wall need surgical intervention to try and repair them if he is to survive this ordeal. He has received the best care/treatment so far in the hope of a keeper coming forward, no one has come forward so we have been asked if he can be signed over to us tomorrow, which we have agreed. I have been to meet him today, he was bright, ate some Cosma treats I took, enjoyed lot's of chin rubs so much so he was dribbling! He is booked in for major surgery on Tuesday with Carolyn. She has gone through the risks thoroughly and honestly and we agreed he deserves a chance. 🧡❤️ I know some of our wonderful supporters have offered to contribute towards his surgery, to which we would be really really grateful. If you have anything we could sell on either Ebay or in our store, this would also help. Or you could invite your friends round for coffee n cake and ask for a donation 🍰😋😻 Every penny helps! Tomorrow 9am I will be holding a wine raffle on here 1st 3 Red, 3 White and a Sparkly 2nd a Red and White 🍷🥂1-60 £2 a number. Please could you share this amongst your friends for us purrlease.
