Lovely little Lola is a nervous lady when it comes to visits to the vets, she has been coming in to see us weekly for some desensitisation. She has come a long way in the last couple of weeks and she is now beginning to enjoy receiving some love & fuss from our team, along with some gravy bones!

Is your dog nervous when coming to the vets? Please feel free to pop in to reception with them for some exposure to the sights, smells & sounds of the practice, if our reception team are free they are more than happy to spend some time giving some fuss and some treats! 🐾

We have had a small, black, terrier-type dog handed into the surgery today, found near Torksey.
He is chipped but sadly the details are not up to date.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Our day started off with a visit from these two bundles of mischief! Brother & sister duo Tilly & Mikey have been settled into their new home for a week now and were brought in to us today for a full health check with vet Lauren.
They passed with flying colours and seemed to enjoy their time in the consultation room with some tasty treats and some exploring!

We look forward to seeing Tilly & Mikey again in a few weeks time! 🐾

Beautiful Narla was here this evening to see Miguel and to have the final part of her initial vaccination course administered. She is a very happy and confident puppy and we are sure she is going to enjoy heading out on some great adventures!

Teddy popped in to see us this afternoon for his annual routine booster vaccination along with some flea & worm preventatives…each time little Teddy pops in he always remembers where the gravy bones come from and knows exactly how to win round our reception team with those eyes…🐾

Our Head Receptionist Lisa recently celebrated her birthday and treated the whole team to some fabulous cupcakes handmade by our very own Registered Veterinary Nurse, Jade.
Jade has recently started a new business venture with her stunning cupcake creations. Not only are Jade’s cupcakes aesthetically beautiful but they are deliciously tasty too!

Today our vet Lauren provided a talk at the Pavilion in Saxilby regarding all things hedgehogs! There was a great turn out for this and a lot of information was shared.
Did you know that hedgehogs are sadly on the decline and are classed as vulnerable to extinction?

These little guys need all of the help we can provide to ensure they remain a part of our world. Please have a look into how you can play your part in helping these wonderful creatures survive and thrive.

With bonfire night coming up PLEASE ensure to check for hedgehogs before lighting a bonfire, they are headed into hibernation this time of year and your pile of leaves or stack of firewood may be the perfect place for them to settle in for the winter. 🦔 🐾

The lovely Stanley popped in to see us this afternoon for his monthly Librela injection. He was such a good boy, so much so that his owner treated him to a brand new toy…it was a difficult decision for Stanley but he eventually found the perfect one!

We stock a range of toys and accessories in reception, these change seasonally so keep a close eye out for our Christmas goodies arriving soon! 👀🐾

Happy Friday!

Vet Jasmine recently saw Violet the Fox Terrier’s 3 beautiful puppies for their first check over and vaccinations. Violet has been a wonderful mum and her puppies have gone on to find their forever homes…after a lot of socialisation and cuddles from our team…🐾

The beautiful Indy came in to see us last Friday morning after her owner noticed she seemed a bit under the weather and not her usual self, a ultrasound scan quickly revealed that Indy had Pyometra, Pyometra is a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus. Thankfully Indy’s owners knew something wasn’t right and brought her straight to see Miguel who carried out her operation. Here she is today for her first post-operative check with Ann, she walked into the practice with a waggy tail and was more than happy to take some cuddles and complimentary gravy bones from our reception team!

Way to go, Indy! 🐾

It has been a manic Friday here for us! This little token of kindness has put a spring in our step ready for the weekend.

We hope all of our clients and your beautiful pets have a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend! We are open 8am-12noon tomorrow for urgent appointments only and we will be back as normal bright and early at 8am Tuesday 27th. 🐾

We are having some improvements carried out to the practice throughout this week. There may be some noise and disruption whilst the work is being completed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause! You are more than welcome to wait in your car/the car park prior to appointments if this would be less stressful for your pet.
