It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved house dog, Judy, a beautiful Sheltie who touched so many lives. Yesterday, the family took Judy for her final journey over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈. Sadly, Judy had a large mass on her spleen and liver, and while our hearts are breaking, we know it was the right thing to do for her 🐾❤️🐾.

Judy was a cherished member of our VIPPIES family, a popular fixture at our Therapy Dogs events where she gave the fluffiest cuddles to everyone she met. She brought so much joy and comfort to so many, and she will be deeply missed by us all.

Over the 18 years we've been doing this, saying goodbye to the pets we love and care for is always the hardest part of the job. If you ever need someone to talk to about your grief, we are always here to lend an ear. We're here to remember and honour your past loves with you.

Rest in peace, dear Judy. You will always have a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️

Are you a dedicated pet lover with a passion for the outdoors? Do you have your own vehicle and a flexible schedule? VIPPIES Pet Care is seeking reliable and trustworthy individuals to join our team of dog walkers and pet carers.

Why Choose VIPPIES?

🐾 Work with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, small furries, reptiles, and even horses.
🐾 Be part of a supportive team with comprehensive training provided.
🐾 Earn between £11.50-£15.00 per hour, with the potential to earn from £600 to over £1,000+ per month (wages are commensurate with your availability and commitment).

What We’re Looking For:

💖 Passion for Pets: You should be a genuine pet lover with a keen interest in working outdoors.
🐕 Confidence with Dogs: Basic understanding of dog behaviour is essential, additional training will be provided.
🚗 Own Vehicle: Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable driving in and around Lincoln (fuel costs reimbursed).
🏃 Physical Fitness: Ability to walk over 20,000 steps per day, walking the dogs from one household at a time.
📅 Organisation Skills: Excellent time management, the ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and friendly, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
⏰ Availability: Flexibility to work throughout the week, especially between 10am and 3pm, with some early, late, and weekend appointments as needed.

What's your dog's poo telling you?

Ever wondered what your dog's poo says about their health? Our nutritionist, Jade, is here to break down the clues hidden in your pup's p**p.

💩 Consistency: Firm and log-shaped stools are a sign of good health. It’s more common these days to see sloppier p**ps, and this is sometimes a result of poorer quality dog foods with fillers such as wheat, that don’t really offer much nutritional value. At VIPPIES, we recommend raw diets, although we are happy to discuss your needs and guide you towards the best fit for you, if you are considering a change.

🌈 Colour: Normal dog poo is usually chocolate brown. However, black & tarry, red streaks, yellow and orange, or white speckles could all indicate a problem, and you should consult your veterinarian.

👀 Content: Check for unusual items like undigested food, worms, or foreign objects. These can provide clues about your dog's digestive health.

👃 Smell: While all poo smells, a particularly foul odour might indicate a dietary imbalance or gastrointestinal infection.

⏱ Frequency: Regular bowel movements (dogs should poo as many times as they are fed) are a good sign of a healthy digestive system. Too frequent or too infrequent can be a red flag.

Remember, always consult with your vet if you notice any significant changes in your dog's poo. Healthy poo equals a happy pup! 🐶
