As we are getting bookings coming in for 2025 We have decided on the dates we will be closing next year. These will be; January 22nd to February 2nd, March 1st to March 16th, October 1st to October 12th and 29th November to December 7th. Hope this helps with your planning. Thank you

We have some dates for your diaries for next year. We will be closed on the following dates in 2024. After 18 years of being open 52 weeks of the year, we have decided we would like some time off. I hope it doesn't inconvenience anybody too much. Friday January 26th through to Sunday February 4th inclusive.
Wednesday February 28th through to Friday 8th March inclusive.
Friday October 4th through to Wednesday 9th inclusive.
Friday 29th November through to Monday 2nd December inclusive.

Sadly our neighbours down the lane have Terry's funeral on the 13th, this Thursday. I'm sure many of you remember his smiling face and cheery wave as he sat outside the cottage. It does mean the lane may have cars outside their house from 10am to 11am so if you could either avoid that time or be patient please. We offer our condolences to the family at this sad time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified groomer to take over our established grooming service here at Rookery kennels. Bathing facilities, hydraulic grooming table and blaster are available to use. We have an established clientele from guests at the kennels and regulars within the area. Our current groomer is moving away from the area but would be happy to work with anyone interested in taking over the business until she leaves at the end of July. Lucy has developed a admirable reputation and so we would love someone to carry on her wonderful work and develop it further.
