Bowen Therapy does not only treat problem areas, but instead treats the body as a whole. It is a gentle, non-invasive holistic therapy which works by using rolling type movements over key areas of the body, followed by a series of two minute breaks. These two minute breaks allow the central nervous system to process the movements that have just been performed in a certain area, drawing attention t
o that area, which then allows the body to make any necessary repairs and re-balancing, thus encouraging the body the heal itself. Bowen is mainly used to treat humans, horses and dogs. As a therapist it is my aim to treat either a horse by itself, or treat both a horse and rider together with a special combination treatment. Bowen is extremely relaxing and is a scientifically proven treatment which is becoming increasingly well regarded by veterinarians, doctors, physiotherapists and chiropractors etc as a very effective treatment for both physical and emotional problems.
