ITS LINCOLN REPTILES 15th BIRTHDAY TODAY 🥳

Wow how has time flown by so fast, it doesn't seem 2 minutes since we walked into what was called pets cabin. We have worked incredibly hard over the last 15 years to make lincoln reptiles what it is today and for that we are so proud 👏

Are you 16-18 and wanting an exciting and rewarding apprenticeship??

HOURS: minimum 30 hours per week (9.30am-5.30pm) to include weekends.
COURSE: Animal care & welfare level 2
AGE: 16-18
REQUIREMENTS: GCSE English & maths 3/D or above.

We have an exciting level 2 animal care & welfare assistant apprentiship position at Lincoln reptiles. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, exciting reptile specialist. Work with a large range of different reptiles and tarantulas the job role encompasses everything from animal cleanliness and enclosure maintenance, handling, feeding, paperwork and admin and confidently selling a large and varying selection of reptiles and tarantulas in a fast paced but fun expanding business.

This would be a very rewarding and exciting career for the right applicant who is bright and approachable with a flexible attitude towards work. GENUINE INTEREST AND NO FEAR OF REPTILES IS ESSENTIAL.

You will gain a level 2 animal care and welfare qualification through Riseholme College upon completion of this 12-15 month apprenticeship with the potential to then progress to level 3 or carry on working at lincoln reptiles.

It is essential that you are a team player and are also able to work under your own initiative. Communication and customer service are the foundation of our business, and our success and the successful applicant it would be expected to help build upon this. You must be confident in talking face to face and over the phone with customers.

Flexibility would be required as we are open 7 days a week, with weekend working being expected. A flexible rota system is in place. You will also be required to cover other staff absences. You will be required to attend college 1 day every other week.

❌️❌️IMPORTANT-FAKE UVB BULBS❌️❌️

Have you purchased these UVA & UVB bulbs from amazon, Ebay or other online sellers for your reptile and specifically your tortoise???

These are FAKE & EXTREMELY DANGEROUS bulbs. We see a worrying amount of customers come into store with sick reptiles because of being sold these from amazon, Ebay and other online sellers.

As you can see from our UVB test these give off no uvb and also reach an extremely high temperature which cannot be thermostatically controlled. Their beam of heat is so dangerous it can set fire to your enclosure.

These are often sold as part of a complete tortoise table kit by online sellers at extremely low prices encouraging new keepers to buy them without knowing the dangers.

We are always happy to give advice on the correct heating and uvb for your reptiles and have a range of suitable UVB options in store.
