Have you replaced your reptiles UVB in the last 6-12 months???? If your reptile is lethargic or not eating like it used to, then you may need to replace your uvb.

We are busy doing our yearly UVB replacement in store today for all of our display vivariums. We actually replace ours every 10-11 months just to ensure our reptiles get the best uv possible.

It is essential that you replace your uvb tubes as even though they are still lit up dependent on the type of tube the uvb output depletes to over the 6-12 months, eventually leaving now uvb output. For t5 tubes, they need replacing every 12 months and t8 tubes every 6-9 months.

We strongly recommend only using recognised uvb brands such as arcadia, zoomed, reptile systems and exo terra as other cheap unbranded bulbs are not tested like these brands are, combination heat and uvb bulbs should be replaced every 6 months.

Unbranded Combination heat and uv bulbs that are commonly purchased from Ebay and Amazon are often fake and emit no uvb whatsoever so please check you uv, we strongly recommend against using any combination bulbs and always having separate thermostatically controlled heat lamp and strip uvb.

In store we only use arcadia Pro t5 uvb kits, we find these to be the best output and most reliable, if you are looking to replace your uvb or want any advice on what you need then pop in store and one of our team will be happy to help 😀

This is a female sharp albino het anery boa ☀️ isn't she just stunning and super calm and friendly.

Boas are a large strong snake this female could grow upto 10ft so do require a large enclosure when adults 🐍
