Here at Happy Days Doggy Day Care your pets are my top priority, I love to spend time with various animals and provide dog walking and pet boarding in a loving home environment. I am currently training in animal behavior with the Kennel Club so I am aware of up to date methods of dealing with separation anxiety or any other issues your pet might have. I have previously worked in child care and dev

elopment and have found a lot of skills learnt in this field are directly transferable, such as child psychology and animal psychology are not that different, for example they both learn and behave better in a positive environment and with plenty of positive reinforcement your pet will settle in to a happy routine

โ€œFor 13 thousand dollars, Englishman Brendon Grimshaw bought a tiny uninhabited island in the Seychelles and moved there forever. When Grimshaw was under forty, he quit his job as a newspaper editor and started a new life.
By this time, no human had set foot on the island for 50 years. As befits a real Robinson, Brendon found himself a companion from among the natives. His name was Renรฉ Lafortin. Together with Rene, Brendon began to equip his new home. While Renรฉ came to the island only occasionally, Brendon lived on it for decades by himself, never leaving.
For 39 years, Grimshaw and Lafortin planted 16 thousand trees with their own hands and built almost 5 kilometers of paths. In 2007, Rene Lafortin died, and Brendon was left all alone on the island.
He was 81 years old. He attracted 2,000 new bird species to the island and introduced more than a hundred giant tortoises, which in the rest of the world (including the Seychelles) were already on the verge of extinction. Thanks to Grimshaw's efforts, the once deserted island now hosts two-thirds of the Seychelles' fauna. An abandoned piece of land has turned into a real paradise.
A few years ago, the prince of Saudi Arabia offered Brendon Grimshaw $50 million for the island, but he refused. โ€œI donโ€™t want the island to become a favorite vacation spot for the rich. Better let it be a national park that everyone can enjoy.โ€
And he achieved just that. In 2008 the island was indeed declared a national park.โ€

Playing in the garden is much better than cleaning the house.

if you had asked me an hour ago was Grace going to make it, I most likely would have cried and said "I dont think so."
But so much can change in an hour.
Grace is finally showing signs of improvement.
throughout the day she seemed to be getting worse, disorientated, ataxic, could barely stand, wouldn't so much as sniff at food and when curled up was clearly uncomfortable and not relaxed in any way shape or form.
i was losing hope.. and fast.

but this evening, after sleeping for about 4 hours (in a very strange position) she woke up when I rubbed her wee ears (she loves that) and gave me a foxy purr! she ate some chicken and walked around the bathroom unaided (still with an intention tremor, but progress all the same!)
She chose an alternative sleeping spot, rather than her foxy box to curl up in, and is curled up in a normal position now, and gave me a wee purr went I went to see her and take her photo just now.

Thank you for all your well wishes and positive energy, this little foxy needs as much of it as anyone can muster!

I am treating her for toxoplasmosis (and also treating Sionna who with hindsight must have had it a few weeks ago, as she became very brave! I didnt think anything of it at the time as she was, and still is thankfully eating fine and behaving otherwise normally)

She is far from out of the woods, but we have hope again folks, and there is a lot to be said for hope.

This wild Kingfisher's grandparent, I found in the garden, nearly dead, some years ago. Nursed him back to health, and set him free. The next morning, the family swooped down, past me, in gratitude.
A couple of years later, I awoke to find the next generation, a parent of this bird, waiting for me on the terrace, his wing seemed broken. I picked him up and examined him. He never flinched, and stared deeply into my eyes. A thorn had locked his wing from operating. I pulled it out, and set him free. Without fail, he passes my window every day at the same time, crying out to me.
This baby, sat in the tree, eye to eye with me, then flew directly to my hand, and sat there for several minutes, before flying away.
Intuition, compassion, good intent, those essences of love, was all we had. Pure, unspoken.
An energy that has no end, and passes silently onward, much further than we can imagine.

Happiness is not found, it is created... A teacher gave each student a balloon, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it down the hallway. The teacher then mixed all the balloons Students had 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite an active search, no one found her balloon. At that moment the teacher told the students to pick up the first ball they found and hand it over to the person whose name was written on it. In 5 minutes, everyone had their own ball. The teacher told the students, "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about the happiness of others... we will find ours too.

"Today I found this kid tied up with a bag next to him that had his things. I didn't think if I have space, if I have a job, what my husband will say or come on baby let someone else do it. I just took him, I told him it's okay that he is scared, that I understand and that everything will be fine. I am sharing the photo so everyone can see the look of terror, sadness and shock in his eyes. The animal is in shock just like a human child would be.
Today we will become a family. I hope our hug heals this traumatic experience"
