Hello to the First puppy class of 2024! 🐶🎉

This bunch were just awesome! They took on the challenges of a first puppy class with ease and know what? Their humans did a great job too. 😊

We were missing puppy Ferdi who is recovery for a injury but his dad came along to listen in so the can practice at home, that’s dedication for you! 🙏

It was a pleasure getting to meet all of you! I'm excited to watch you all learn and see these adorable pups grow in the upcoming weeks.

🐾 Everyone, meet Barney! 🐾

Barney is an absolutely handsome boy, a cross between a Newfoundland and a Portuguese Water Dog. And let's not forget his big brother, Moose, who is just as adorable!

Barney is embarking on a training journey to build focus, create more calmness to help prevent him from getting frustrated on his lead. Having a social butterfly personality can sometimes be challenging during walks, but we have a plan in place to help Barney overcome this. He absolutely smashed his session yesterday!

I'm excited to be a part of Barney's training journey and can't wait to see his progress. And of course, I'm equally excited for more cuddles with these two lovely pups in the coming week. 🥰

🐾 Adventure with Ed! 🐾

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of going on a lovely chilled walk with Ed and his owner. Ed is a beautiful natured boy, and just like any true Collie, he absolutely loves his ball!

During our walk, Ed had the opportunity to explore off-lead and take in all the wonderful scents around him. He carried his ball for a while, enjoying the game of having to go back and find it when he set it down.

While chasing the ball is undoubtedly a fun sport, at Ed's young age, it's important for him to also take in his surroundings and explore. And guess what? Ed did an amazing job yesterday! His recall skills were on point, and his on lead skills were great too. But what was even more impressive was that he was discovering the joy of a good old sniffy walk.

Exploring and sniffing around is not only a great way for dogs to gather information about their environment, but it also provides mental stimulation and enrichment. It's wonderful to see Ed embracing this experience and enjoying the wonders of a sniffy walk.

Keep up the fantastic work, Ed! You're doing an amazing job at being an adventurous and well-rounded pup. See you in class in the new year!

She's settling into her new home like a champ and we had a chat about all things puppy including how we can make her more relaxed around guests and addressing her puppy mouthing.

Hello to Dexter, Bailey, and Ruby! ❤️🐾

These three Scottish terriers are absolutely adorable! It's amazing how even with their vastly different personalities, they all get along beautifully. 🏡✨

During my visit, I had the pleasure of working with handsome boy Dexter, who has a little issue with the TV. But worry not, because we have a plan in place to address it! 📺🐾 And I must say, Dexter completely aced the training session. He's such a smart and eager learner! 🎓🐾

And of course, Ruby and Bailey were there too, probably just for the treats. 😂 But hey, who can resist those delicious rewards, right? 🍖🐾

Deck the hall with a pup called Olly 🤣🎄

This adorable boy has been spreading so much joy to his loving family. 🐶❤️ We recently had a catch-up session before the holidays to provide some reassurance and guidance on his training. And guess what? They are absolutely nailing it! 🎉👏

Olly's family have been doing an incredible job, and it's heartwarming to see their dedication and progress. They are headed in the right direction, and I have no doubt that Olly will continue to thrive under their loving care. 🌟🐾

My last Session with Oreo ❤️🐾

We had such a wonderful time wrapping up Oreo's puppy pack with a lovely pre-Christmas walk with her amazing family. 🎄🚶‍♀️

As much as we are eager to go on exciting and long adventures, it is equally important to pause and let our pups simply observe the world around them. Oreo did just that and took it all in her stride, showcasing her beautiful nature. 🌍🐶

I couldn't be happier with this pup, but I am also incredibly proud of her family's dedication to her training. 🤗❤️

Pawsitive walk with Gunner 🐾

Spent a lovely morning with this handsome boy! At the age of 10, he's still bursting with energy during his walks.

Today, we decided to teach him the art of staying still and hanging out in the park. And guess what? He nailed it!

Gunner was so good we even managed a little loose lead practice using only reward based methods 🐶💫

The adorable pup who has just found his forever home! 💛🐾

Although he's a bit unsure after spending his early months in rescue, Dipper is surrounded by love and support.

In a world full of opinions and pressure, his new family knows that taking things at his pace is key. With patience and understanding, Dipper's confidence will grow, and he'll be just as happy as any other puppy his age.

He's ready for his forever adventure, even if he doesn't realize it yet. 🥰🐾

Poppy had a wonderful walk at the park this morning! Her humans have been working really hard teaching her lots of life skills.

Today we used a long line to give her the opportunity to showcase her training and see if she could make good choices in the presence of distractions and guess what? …… she absolutely smashed it!!!

This pair are already building a close bond. So we talked about how to safely play together. What we can do to promote calm interactions while Guinness is part puppy part shark.
We had a go a teaching Guinness some new cues and they both smashed it.

What a pup! 🐶🎉

Had an amazing 3rd training session with Oreo. This family is unstoppable, taking on challenges and conquering them every week.

This time, we focused on teaching Oreo some fun tricks for the kids to enjoy during Christmas. And boy, did she nail it with her enthusiasm! 🎄

Next week, we're going on a cool family day out to help Oreo navigate the great outdoors.

Lottie & Polly 🥰🐾

Pawsitive walks with Westie Lottie and her bestie Polly! Lottie is a rescue and finds the the outside world a little over whelming.

We have been aiming for short positive walks with her to help build her confidence. Today saw a big improvement in her ability to relax with dogs at a distance.

Little by little she will get there ❤️🐾

Look a that wee face 🥰❤️

Had a wonderful visit with Benji and his family! This adorable puppy is full of energy and like them all can unknowingly get up to mischief.

His owner has done an amazing job in researching and learning how to start their journey together on the right track but wanted a little extra guidance.

Today we talked about communication and the different ways to redirect Benji when he has cluelessly gotten into trouble.

It's clear that Benji is loved and cherished by his owner, and I have no doubt their bond will only grow stronger. 🐶💕

🖤🐾 Meet Connie 🖤🐾

This little lady is not only stunning, but she also has a vibrant personality and loves socializing with everyone she meets. There is only one complaint she has ALOT to say for herself 🫣

We had a chat about how we can help Connie become calmer when guests come over. We practiced techniques to calmly redirect her attention and help her settle down peacefully. And guess what? She totally smashed our training session today! 🎉

I can't wait to hear about her progress. 🖤🐾

🐾 Meet Cookie! 🐾

Introducing this adorable little Shih-Tzu! Cookie is a very sweet, always ready for some fun and playtime. 🐶💕

During our training session, we focused on understanding Cookie's body language and improving communication with him. It's fascinating to see how his eyes, ears, tail and excited jumps tell us exactly what he's feeling! 📚🐾

We did teach a fun new cue to help Cookie come in from the garden without a game of "catch me if you can" His new rewarding cue will make him eagerly run back indoors! 🏡🏃‍♂️

Cookie is already making great progress and learning his new cues with enthusiasm. 🌟🎓

What do you get if you mix a Newfoundland with a Portuguese water dog? An Olive 🫒 🤣

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending time with a beautiful girl and her lovely family. 🥰

During our session, we focused on addressing her jumping up and improving her lead walking skills. To tackle the jumping issue, we worked on managing her environment and our own behaviour. Luckily, Olive had already previously learned a settle exercise, so she quickly realized that offering that was a better choice now we are going to work hard to keep reinforcing her better choices.

Olive is not only gorgeous but also incredibly smart and food-motivated. We used her love for food as a motivation to kickstart her lead walking training. Today, we practiced in the hallway and driveway. The key to success is setting small, achievable goals that allow both of you to succeed. In no time, Olive was walking beautifully in the driveway and all they way to the gate.

We will continue working on her lead walking skills in the upcoming sessions, gradually increasing the distance. It's all about taking baby steps towards progress!

In the meantime, Olive is enjoying some well-deserved off-lead playtime at her local park to burn off some steam. 🥰

Who needs just one golden when you can have two?! 😍 I recently had the privilege of meeting this handsome duo and their fabulous family.

These boys not only have the looks but also the most amazing personalities! They behaved exceptionally well to having a stranger inside their home 🏠💛

We're now on a mission to build an awesome recall so these golden buddies can have even more off-lead adventures! 🌳🐾

Handsome Hugo 💙🐾

It’s wild out there! When you are meeting Weimaraner for a training walk on a day like that you can assume he isn’t gonna be to happy 🤣

But, despite the shocking weather, Hugo the Weimaraner had a fantastic time during his training walk. He had the chance to run off lead and enjoy the empty fields, while also practicing recall and learning to go back on the lead if necessary.

This was their third training session, and Hugo's progress has been incredible. His recall, even with distractions, was outstanding, and his ability to pass other dogs at a close distance has improved remarkably.

Hugo is a sweet-natured big softy, and his owner has been taking the advice given and implementing it. It's so lovely to see how much more content they are when they are out together.

Congratulations to our fabulous Saturday morning puppy class on their graduation! 🎉🥳🎓

It has been a pleasure hanging out with you all, watching you’s teach your pups new skills, we formed friendships, and everyone gained lots of confidence over the last 5 weeks.

Had the most amazing one-on-one session with the gorgeous Luca! 🐶🖤

Despite his tendency to get a little too excited and jump on guests, we found some great solutions to manage his behavior. Some of that management includes looking our own behaviour.

By changing our approach and providing him with alternative outlets to help him relax, we achieved a whole new level of chill.

Just look at him completely switching off and enjoying a well-deserved nap! 😴🐾

PUPDATE! 😍

Oreo, the adorable pup, is making great progress in her second week of puppy training!

Her progress is impressive, and it's clear watching her interactions that her family are doing an excellent job making learning a fun and rewarding experience for her.

Oreo tackled some new challenges today, including learning mat skills and practicing the "Leave It" cue And guess what? She aced the training session!
