We are a large busy first opinion practice based over 5 small animal sites; we also have a 6th site which is designated to the large animal team. We provide high quality care for our lovely and dedicated client base. We are an RCVS Accredited (General Practice) and a Nurse Training Practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who believes in the importance of excellent patient, client and staff care as set out in our mission statement.

While experience in the field of reception or veterinary work would be desirable, it is not essential as full training and support will be given. However, previous customer facing experience, a keen love of customer service and being able to prioritise and multitask is essential.
We are offering a full time, permanent contract, working 40 hours per week, across all of our small animal teams, therefore access to your own transport is important. There will need to be flexibility from the successful candidate as the rota does vary and could be either working 5 days a week or 4 longer days with a day off each week. Your 40 hours will also include working 2 in 4 Saturday mornings 8.30 -1 pm, the bank holidays are shared between all of the reception team.
The rotas are published 6-8 weeks in advance with the Saturday and bank holiday rota published for the full holiday year.
We pride ourselves in offering good training and support for our reception team with:
· Further training and access to many CPD courses
· Holiday allowance- 6.6 weeks (inclusive on bank holidays)
· Uniform provided
Career development is encouraged with fully funded CPD and further qualifications are supported, such as The Accredited Veterinary Receptionist (AVR) Award as part of the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.

You will need to enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues a like. You will have excellent customer service, communication skills, telephone manner, be an effective team player and have an organised and systematic approach when making decisions to be able to carry out the role efficiently.
