Polmartin Riding Stables Polmartin Riding is a British Horse Society Approved Riding School and Training Centre in Cornwall.

Horse riding and lessons are available all year, whatever the weather. We are situated in around sixty acres of unspoilt Cornish landscape, offering stunning 360 degree views of the sea, moors and farmland. Our treks wind through fields, lakes, streams, woods and hillsides resulting in a unique and fabulous ride, in safety and without the worry of meeting any traffic. If you prefer to learn to rid

e or improve your skills our riding lessons are varied and are matched to your needs and ability. Abilities of all ages, young or old are catered for, from beginner through to intermediate and advanced rider. As one of the few BHS Approved Riding Schools and Place to Train in the region, you can be assured that all lessons are of the highest standard. We are able to train riders in a variety of disciplines as well as working towards formal BHS qualifications. Our Saturday Club as well as Holiday Activity Days are for the young rider who really wants to learn about horses, not just riding. They will enjoy rides, lessons and games as well as learning about looking after horses. Young riders booking for 5 days or more can even work towards achieving their BHS Progressive Riding Tests.

Aurora looking so good. She is stunning cannot wait to compete her. She is a lot happier too that I have lost some weight ready for getting out into the endurance,showing,dressage and cross country competitions later this year .

David an Actor .Has been here training for a few days 121. So yes made him do this routine in front of a load of people !!!! He did well riding with a helmet on with slits... difficult

Learning to ride truly under control ..no stirrups focused and halting to deliver lines. Well done to Actor David Joutsikoski here training with us for the week 121.

And again at Royal Cornwall. Our homebred Arab horses are fun to ride.

Gosh Polmartin Prince George looked good this year at Royal Cornwall in the main arena. Jade rode him so well. Looking forward to next year now and taking our homebred horses out and about more often.

Oh well Socrates at the final hour got overlooked for a bigger horse for a film at Boconnoc. He was annoyed as he knew he looked awesome 😎 but maybe just as well , he thought 🤔 as he did not know the rider. At least in this practice run he was ridden by the mad woman!!!!

I'm Jane, the owner and head instructor here.

Ever since I can remember I've had a passion for horses - riding them, training, breeding, everything. And when I started Polmartin Riding in 2004 I was able to fulfil a lifelong wish to help others share my devotion and experiences.
