✨️IMPORTANT NOTICE ✨️
On Monday the 26th the last part of our makeover will start.
There will be no reception area for 7 to 10 working days. Our lovely staff will advise you when booking appointments or ordering medication what to do when you arrive. Our team will do everything to keep your visit as normal as possible during this time. If your appointment is a routine vaccination or GHC for flea/worm treatment we would suggest waiting till we are functioning normally. Wish us luck 🙏 Kind regards your Fitzalan Team.
Meet the lovely Zuma. This gorgeous girl came to our Littlehampton branch after her owners were concerned that she was slightly off-colour. After the veterinary surgeon checked her all over, we completed a quick ultrasound in order to rule out a pyometra, due to her being an entire female. During the ultrasound, we diagnosed slight changes to her uterus but luckily due to the quick action from her owners it hadn't turned into a pyometra yet. We decided to proceed with a ovariohysterectomy to prevent it from developing further. Zuma was so incredibly brave and enjoyed lots of cuddles with our nurses. She is now back to herself and feeling much better 😀🐶
Pyometra is a serious infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and pus. It is usually seen in older female dogs who haven't been neutered. However this can occur in any un-neutered female.
Symptoms can includes seeming off-colour, off-food, vomiting, bloated abdomen, lethargic, drinking more then normal and most often discharge can be seen from the v***a.
Happy Valentine's Day to all our wonderful clients ❤
Just a quick reminder of things that can be toxic to our furry friends at this time of year. Chocolate, lilies, raisins and macadamia nuts are all poisonous and if ingested please call us for advise on 01903 713806.
To all our lovely clients.
We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience of the renovations taking place at our Littlehampton branch. Our team are still trying to keep the running of the practice as smooth as possible for you and your companion. There will be scaffolding at the front of the building for a short period, which unfortunately means that there will be restrictions within our car park. Thank you for your patience at this time and we are looking forward to sharing with you the new look of our practice.
Look at these gorgeous puppies brought into us for their first vaccinations and microchips. Puppy snuggles are definitely a highlight of our day. They were all very brave and enjoyed some treats afterwards🐶
Did you know that puppies can be vaccinated from 8 weeks of age, with their second dose 4 weeks later at 12 weeks old.
All puppies must legally be microchipped by 8 weeks of age, this can be done at the time of their first vaccine.
Starting from Monday the 22nd January we will be starting renovations to our Littlehampton branch. This may cause some disruption to the day to day running of the practice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your patience while this is taking place.
Meet the lovely Coco, she is a rescue kitten from Wadars. She came into us for a spay. This is her enjoying some love from one of our nurses following her anaesthesia. Don't we all love a black cat

Due to the recent changes of regulations by the RCVS, flea and worm treatment MUST now be prescribed by a vet. This means that on a yearly basis your animal must be seen by a veterinary surgeon to ensure they are fit and healthy to be prescribed treatment. This has also increased the demand for flea/worm treatment and we thank you for your patience. 🐶🐱🐰
NOW REUNITED - FOUND: A budgie has been handed into our Littlehampton branch on Tuesday after being found in St Nicholas Park in Angmering. If you believe he is yours please contact us on 01903 713806. A photo or description of him will be required for collection 🦜
