It looks like summer might finally be making an appearance and we’ve found a handy guide for our dog owners (information applies to cats and small furries as well) to help gauge how hot is too hot for outside activities.

Please keep them safe in these high temperatures, making sure that there is plenty of access to shade and fresh water. For more information please get in contact with us.

I Think My Dog Has Pockets - a poem ...

I think my dog has pockets
And, stick with me on this,
In these secret pockets
She keeps her useful lists

On tiny scraps of paper
Folded nice and neat,
A list of folk from all our walks
Who've given her a treat.

And when she spots these people,
Like a bullet from a gun,
She'll pick the pace up, lightning-speed,
And run and run and run.

And after treats from EVERYONE
(There's nobody she's missed)
She gets her scrap of paper out
And ticks them off her list.

Water intoxication in dogs can occur when dogs swallow excessive amounts of water. For example, this can happen when dogs spend time swimming outdoors at the beach. 🏖️💦

Although water intoxication in dogs is rare, it's best to be aware of the dangers as symptoms can take hold very quickly and can be fatal.

The best way to prevent water intoxication is to limit the amount of time your dog spends in the water by encouraging them to come back on land every 10 to 15 minutes. 🐕
