It really upsets me to have to write this, but it seems that we have had a tortoise taken today without being paid for!

Needless to say this is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!

I try to be as open and friendly as I can with animals that we have in the shop and anyone who comes into us knows how amenable I am to show these amazing animals off to people.

I can't believe that someone has taken advantage of my good nature by doing this.
Not only is it wrong but the animal would of been taken with no thought to its care!
It needs to be in an appropriate setup and not thw house or garden!

We have CCTV innthe shop covering the area and we will be releasing it tomorrow. I'm offering an opportunity for the person responsible to return the Tortoise with no thing further being done about it.

The tortoise on question is Hermann tortoise and has a microchip as required by law to accompany the Article 10 certificate it also requires. Making it illegal to purchase without the paperwork.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the tortoise then please drop me a message.

It with great sadness that I have to announce that both Dylan and Olivia will be leaving Clubmoor Reptiles for pastures new 😭😭
This Sunday will be their last day with us.

Dylan has been a mainstay at the shop for almost 5 years now and has gone from a keen young boy to a man during his time with us. He's often stepped up whilst I haven't been around to steer the ship in the right direction and keep things going.
He's become a great keeper and has some great animals he's breeding. He's also developed a great following within thw shop of customers who have built relationships with too.
It's been a pleasure to watch him grow into a young man.

Olivia hasn't been with us as long but her affect on the shop has been great, she has helped us drive our standards and offered a different perspective on things when weve needed it. She has also helped me become a little more organsied too.
Olivia has also built a great collection of reptiles to breed in the future too.

Both of them will be friends of the shop for life and I want to thank them for their hard work over the years and they will both be missed.

I hope you will join me wishing them well for the future and they will both be in over the weekend if you want to pop in to see them.

Vietnamese blue beauty babies born here at Clubmoor.
A first for us!

These are a cool species, and they get around 8ft long as adults. This little one is the first to hatch from the and they are feisty little things and this doesn't really change as they get older 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've wanted one of these for so long now, and yesterday, we finally got one!
A Rhino iguana (cyclura cornuta) female.

As yet, she doesn't have a name, but we are open to suggestions!!

I'm super excited to have this girl at the shop!
Finally, I have an animal to occupy the massive viv at the front of the shop!

We have had a livefood order delivered this morning!

Unfortunately it's a limited number and not our full order, so be quick!!

Size 5 locust are still unavailable nationally so size 4 is the biggest.

However other bugs can be used in their place such as crickets and Dubia roaches.

Our supplier is currently having a production issue with Size 5 Locust (XL).
This means that we won't have any for a few weeks and this is affecting all retailers too.

We have ordered up more kn other sizes and types of bugs to compensate for this.

Yesterday evening we held out draw for the signed Luis Diaz LFC shirt. All proceeds went to cash for kids, Mission Christmas I'm thrilled to say that we raised an amazing £850! Thank you to all our customers, even the blues who generously donated towards this amazing cause. It will go to kids in our local area who may not have woken up with a present at Christmas. The winning number is 184 and the winner is Michael, we've contacted him and he's thrilled. We will have some pics of him latter on today hopefully. Thank you all again Andy

We have decided to run a raffle to support a local charity in cash for kids, Mission Christmas appeal. The charity will help to provide local kids with a present on Christmas day, who wouldn't normally have the opportunity due to various reasons. During this time, when we are thinking of buying our loved ones, please spare a thought for those who may not be able to. So, to support this, we are going to raffle a signed LFC Luis Diaz shirt. £5 per ticker with draw to be made on the 20th of December, 2023.
