Murphy GSD
Murphy has been struggling with his thresholds at the back door. Every time the back door opens he rushes to get out no matter what.
Today we worked on teaching him that he does not get out the back door untill he has been released.
He picked it up very quickly and he was rewarded with play.
We also worked on his place command in the back garden so he can just settle instead of frantically running around barking at every noise.
A good session today , well done Murphy and owners.
Missy GSD
Missy had her first trip on a train with Bleu.
She was so good , waited patiently at the train station and although she was initially a little unsure about the gap getting in the train she jumped in no problem.
She was a little unsure of the noises as the train was moving but she soon got used to it and settled beside Bleu.
Once we got to our destination we had a short walk before going to the platform.
She got a fright at a train that passed by very quickly and also didnโt like the noise that the wheels of the passing suitcase made but other than that she was fine.
Looking forward to taking her on a longer train ride next time.
Great job Missy ๐
Murphy GSD
Our training session crate training Murphy.
Hod owners have made a start and have been feeding all meals and chew bones in the crate to build a positive association. They have also been incorporating fun games around the crate.
We worked on. Building the duration Murphy was in the crate and closing the door.
We ended each session on a high playing tug with Murphy favourite indoor toy his duck.
Good job Murphy ๐
Ferris GSD
We done some environmental training with Ferris at the Surf Centre.
He had Radar with him to help him and we just concentrated on his stays in a new and busy environment.
There was lots of different noises for him , the noise of the waves he was a bit unsure of at first but he soon settled.
There was lots of people some carrying surf boards, there was other dogs and lots of loud music.
He done absolutely brilliant and he even got to walk with Diesal and Bleu too.
Great session, this wee guy is coming on leaps and bounds ๐

Mucky Radar
Thereโs always one mucky pup in the group walk and today it was Radar running around in the muddy puddle.
Whilst Radar was in a muddy puddle Frodo decided to roll in fox poo lol ๐

Murphy GSD
Murphy is not a very confident traveller in the car with his owners.
He normally sits in the back seat with his owner as doesnโt like being in the back on his own.
I was asked to help with this in the hope he can travel in my van.
I started off the session doing some fun training around the cage to build a positive association for Murphy.
We then travelled a short journey with Murphy in the cage.
When I got to our destination I wanted Murphy to associate travelling with good things happening.
He had a wee wander and a wee play with Bleu which he loved.
He was a little hesitant to get in the van again at first but again I done some work around the van and got Murphy in an out a few times and he was absolutely fine.
Once he got home he then showed off his door threshold skills before I left, Murphy owner has been working hard on this and previously would have bolted out the door.
Great job Murphy ๐
Murphy GSD
Murphy owner would like to work on his recall and reactivity towards other dogs so we done some long line work with Murphy.
I also done some play sessions in an area where there were a few dogs passing, Murphy is very interested in the other dogs however he did watch them but instead of shouting at them always disengaged from them and came back to his play session.
Good job Murphy ๐
Thereโs always one dog on the walk thatโs full of nonsense, that was Radar today and I wonder where he learned to run in muddy puddles lol mmhh that would be Diesal ๐๐คฃ
Fynn is one of our solo walking dogs. He is an nervous lad and is reactive on his walks with his owners. He loves walking with Bleu bear and it helps build his confidence. Bleu is very neutral with other dogs and a great companion for Fynn ๐

Murphy GSD
Murphy owner has been struggling on walks with him pulling hard on the lead and also barking at other dogs.
I took him out myself to see what he was like and he walked perfectly and although he likes to fixate on other dogs he did not react to any dogs.
Murphy is just frustrated and needs clarity his owner also does not have lots of strength so we will continue working
On teaching Murphy pressure and release on the lead and add some more clarity into the training so he listens to his owner.
Training is never easy but you get there in the end ๐
