✨ Teddy ✨

Isn’t he such a handsome boy? Teddy was in our Livingston branch to get neutered last week and he made our day! He was such a brave boy throughout, and was loving all of the cuddles and attention!

He was also very appreciative of his water bowl, and decided to make his kennel into a swimming pool (his favourite thing to do according to his owners!) 💧

Unfortunately we have had a deceased cat handed into our Livingston branch today. Entire male, mostly black with white paws. No microchip or collar. He was found on Ballencrief Toll in Bathgate.

Puppy check-up time! 🐶💙

These adorable little ones came in for their vet visit last week with our vet Fiona, and they were a dream! Who doesn’t love a box of puppies? 🥰

They were all very brave for their microchips and vaccinations, and our patient care assistant Holly was a perfect helping hand to give them loads of cuddles afterwards! 🐶✨

A very handsome male entire ginger cat has been handed into our Livingston site today after he was found near the dual carriageway at J3.

No microchip or collar.

Stable and settled for now but we do need to trace the owner as he does need some treatment.

In January 2025, Scotland saw an outbreak of avian influenza (bird flu). The Scottish Government acted quickly, declaring an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone across the country.

Do not touch or pick up any dead or visibly sick birds that you find. If you find:

• One or more dead bird of prey or owl
• Three or more dead gulls or wild waterfowl (swans, geese and ducks)
• Five or more dead birds of any species

Report them to the Defra helpline (03459 33 55 77).

If you find an unwell wild bird, please visit the SSPCA website for advice on the best approach. Please do NOT bring unwell wild birds to the practice or to rescue centres without seeking advice first.

Quartz was hospitalised at our Livingston branch a few weeks ago, and was diagnosed with diabetes. Quartz is doing much better now, and him and his human are doing a great job with managing his condition! ✨

Quartz is such a handsome boy and stole everyone’s heart, and our nurse Lynette was especially won over by him! 💓

Bruno the dachshund was with us for a dental procedure recently, with a total of 22 teeth being extracted! 🦷

He was such a well behaved boy during his stay and everyone loved him! 💓 Since his procedure, his mouth has felt a lot more comfortable and he is healing well!

This can be a lifeline for deaf parents who need to know when their child is crying, and this adds to the safety and security of a home.

Marvellous Milo has been learning how to alert to a baby monitor, and we think he is doing a brilliant job!

Sadly we had a deceased cat brought to us last night after a suspected road traffic accident, the wee one was found by the dual carriageway at junction for Craigshill.

Shorthaired brown tabby female, microchipped but unfortunately not registered.
