FOUND. FOUND. FOUND.

Please help us find Willow.
My husband was walking our dogs in Crychan forest this afternoon when our young Springer x Collie must have chased something like a rabbit or deer and has got herself lost. Its been at least 2.5 hours now and we are so worried. Please call us on 07988748477 or 07771692427 with any sitings. She's two years old, black and white, very slim, and has a malformation of her back left paw. She's Microchipped but may have lost her collar in the woods if she's been running around for so long πŸ˜”

β˜€οΈ Warm weather advice β˜€οΈ

It is not safe to walk your dog in high temperatures. You should walk your dog in the morning or evening when it's cooler to reduce the risk of heatstroke and burning their paws on the pavement. Alternatively, give the walk a miss. No dog has died from skipping a walk but some have when walking in the heat.

Warning signs of heatstroke:
- Heavy panting
- Excessively drooling
- The dog appears lethargic, drowsy or uncoordinated
- Collapsed or vomiting

If your dog is showing any of these signs, follow emergency dog first aid and contact your nearest vet.

Emergency dog first aid:
- Move the dog to a shaded and cool area.
- Immediately start pouring small amounts of room temperature (not cold) water onto the dog's body (cold water may cause shock). If possible, you can also use wet towels or place the dog in the breeze of a fan. If using wet towels, be sure to re-apply water regularly and not to keep the dog constantly covered – sometimes this can heat them up instead of cooling them down.
- Allow the dog to drink small amounts of room temperature water.
- Continue to pour small amounts of room temperature water onto the dog until their breathing starts to settle but not so much that they start to shiver.

DUE TO THE COMING HEAT WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU OF THE FOLLOWING
Dog owners, dont ever make the mistake
throwing cold water on an overheated dog or putting a damp towel on its back.
You will see the opposite effect.
The veins are contracting because of the cold
and because of the high temperature
(above 42 degrees) coagulating the proteins
in the blood, which makes the blood thick and viscous.
As a result of the combination of the two, the heart can no longer receive blood and the organs fail one by one due to the lack of oxygen.
The result is a very slow but very painful death.
If you try to help an overheated dog like this it's gonna die anyway.
First give lukewarm water to drink (body temperature),
cool then paws and chest/
lower part of the abdomen with a damp towel.
Then put the dog in the shade on a damp towel!
Copy the text, save the image to your device, Post the post on your own page,
because we repeatedly see pictures of overheated dogs being taken out of a car and getting water poured over their backs

DOG FOUND AND REUNITED WITH OWNER.

Received from Holly Dwyer …… Hello, I was wondering if you might help?

My dog is missing from the Cwrt Henri/Llanfynydd area, but could have easily gone to a surrounding area.

Young collie, she is chipped but moved in to her new home today so address not updated. Worried she may not know her way back home after a great escape.

Last seen at about 4pm, please share far and wide, any info greatly appreciated.
