🐾 Juno & Jeeves 🐾

Two beautiful kittens in for neutering today that had been hand reared by one of our Veterinary Nurses and rehomed via local rescue. They have such wonderful markings. They have a fantastic new family to love and adore them.

Wishing them the best for their recovery ❤️🐾

This week is world AMR(antimicrobial resistance) awareness week. Resistance to antibiotics is a serious health threat for animals and humans. As vets, we are trying to reduce the antibiotics we prescribe to all animals, to reduce the risk antibacterial resistance developing in animals, that can then pass over to humans. If you want to reduce the use of antibiotics in your pet, horse or on your farm, please talk to to one of our vets.

🚜🇬🇧British Farmers need us more than ever. We also need them now more than ever too.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🚜

Standing with the whole farming community today as they fight for vital changes to support their future in London.

Without them not only would we not have the food on our plates but our countryside would be a very different place.

Farming is a tradition, a commitment and a lifestyle that is passed on down from generation to generation. Jobs are not called off when bad weather hits or illness strikes it’s a way of life.

We work with farmers everyday and know how hardworking they truely are and see the high’s and lows, without farmers there would be no future.

Back British farming now, tomorrow and always. 💛

🦷 Dental Care 🦷

Lulu came in recently for a dental procedure and there was a lot of plaque and tartar build up on her teeth. Dental procedures are performed under general anaesthetic by our Veterinary surgeons and a veterinary nurse is assigned to monitor the anaesthetic throughout and care for your pet during recovery. She was such a sweet little dog and enjoyed lots of fuss from all the staff.

🪥It is important to keep on top of your pets dental hygiene and the perfect way to do this is brushing their teeth daily .
We appreciate this is not possible with some pets and we can offer advice and alternative ways to achieve this including dental products such as water additives, sprays and gels and also diets that can help maintain and improve oral hygiene.

⚠️Did you know we can also offer dental x-rays? Radiographs are essential for identifying the severity of dental conditions. We will offer dental radiographs at the time of your pets dental, if the vet feels imaging may be required.

‼️We do advise that any products you do choose for your pets have been reviewed by the Veterinary Oral Health Council, as some products advertised may be dangerous for your pets ‼️
