🌟MEET BENJI🌟

Benji is looking for a lovley quite retirement 🏡
This beautiful boy would suit a quite home with no other pets and a lap to sit on.
Sadly Benjis mum is no longer with us and family live overseas. We are worried as Benji is a bit of an older boy the journey would be to much for him. He is otherwise healthy ☺️

Murphy and Co Veterinary Practice statement regarding recent social media activity.
Some local clients and social media followers may have recently become aware of a post circulating regarding an incredibly unfortunate situation regarding a recently vaccinated litter of puppies here at our practice.
I would like to firstly, extend my entire team’s condolences with the carers of these puppies. Our entire team are distraught and please rest assured, we will leave no stone unturned to be able to get to the bottom of what has happened, and if there is anything anyone could have done to prevent or limit this.
We have already reported this incident to the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) and the manufacturer of the vaccination in question. We have also immediately ceased using all vaccines from this batch and held them should they need to be inspected by any authorities. We are, of course, transparent and co-operative with any and all parties involved.
Whilst vaccination reactions are reported, the most recent periodic safety update report data received for the vaccinations we use, advise and administer to our own pets, carries an incidence of adverse events of 0.045%. In other words, there are reactions from fewer than 5 for every 10,000 doses administered. Whilst this is a tragic isolated situation, the data for vaccinations is that they are safe, and there is no doubt that vaccinating your dog is still hugely safer than not vaccinating them.
At Murphy and Co, we are, as always, here to protect your pet and give them the very best care possible. I would like to thank all of our fabulous clients who have supported us both in person and on social media; your stories of how we have not only helped treat your pets, but also keep the healthy ones healthy have truly warmed our hearts. And, sadly, I have to take this opportunity to remind the wider public that abuse to our staff in any format will not be tolerated.
Whilst I cannot comment further on this individual tragedy, I would like to welcome anyone with concerns or questions to contact their vet to discuss things. If we are your vets, our doors are always open, and we are always available to go through anything with you both in person, on the phone or drop us an email.
