Hi Doggy Desserts Family, Some sad news.

Our very own Cooper sadly had to be put to sleep 2 weeks ago. He was 7 and would have been 8 at the end of this month. Cooper was my world, and I am truly heartbroken. Minnie is missing him so much and looking around the house for him. They haven’t been separated, not even for one night since they were together. She walks over to where his bowl would be, pauses, and then sighs and walks away. It breaks my heart. She is getting stronger each day though.

Cooper was a special soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. From his playful antics to his loving cuddles, he brought so much joy to our lives. I am deeply grateful to Lianne from West Wales Poundies for trusting me with Cooper all those years ago. Despite his difficult start, he thrived and made every moment unforgettable.

For those of you who met Cooper at events and in our shop, you know how special he was. He had a way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed.

I am incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful team here at Doggy Desserts. They have been a tremendous support, handling baking, messages, emails, phone calls, and more, allowing me to grieve. Your love and support during this difficult time mean the world to me.

As many of you know, losing a pet turns your world upside down and changes your routine. The tears I’ve cried could fill up a swimming pool and then some. It's the quiet moments alone with your thoughts that are the hardest.

Cooper, thank you for being the perfect boy, we will all miss you. Sleep tight sweetheart, sleep tight ❤️

🐶 Hey Doggy Desserts Family, get ready for Pancake Day! 🥳 Whip up a dog-friendly pancake feast and celebrate in style. 🥞 Let’s dive in!

Ingredients:

2 Ripe Bananas 🍌
2 Eggs 🥚
A Sq**rt of Honey 🐝
Coconut or Rapeseed Oil for frying
⬇️ Method ⬇️

1) Mash bananas in a bowl, blend with eggs until smooth. Lumps? They’re just flavour bumps!
2) Mix in a touch of honey for sweetness.
3)Warm your pan on medium, grease lightly with oil.
4)Create fun shapes with greased cookie cutters, or go traditional with freehand pancakes.
5) Cook until one side is golden, then flip carefully (hot cookie cutters alert!).
6) Cool on a plate before treating your doggy. 🍽

Top Tip: Want to make it extra special? Add in some strawberries or blueberries for that boujee touch. 🍓🫐

Remember, this is a treat, not a meal replacement. Every dog is different, so customise as needed. Questions about your dog's diet? Your vet is your best resource.

We're stepping into the New Year and couldn’t be more grateful for the fantastic support you've all shown us. It's been a real treat serving you and your adorable doggy's and we're all set to do it again!.....yey!

Our online shop is now up and running for orders, and we're bouncing back into our bakery and pet shop from 3rd January.

Just a little 'paws' for thought: you might notice a slight tweak in our prices. The world of baking is facing some hefty ingredient costs (not to mention other bits and bobs), so we've had to make a few adjustments. But don’t worry, we’re keeping it as small as possible, keeping those doggy treats as delicious as ever!

We love to start the year on a high note, we're rolling out a pawsome 10% discount (not including delivery) with the code "NEWYEAR10" – valid until the 3rd of January.

We're starting to dispatch your Christmas orders from the 14th of December! With so many treats to send out for your doggy's, we’ll be dispatching orders in 3 waves. 🐾 So, if your dispatch email doesn’t pop up on the 14th, don’t fret! It just means your parcel is in the next batch, but rest assured, all orders will be delivered well before Christmas. 🎅📮

Ordered for collection? You can fetch your orders from the 15th to the 22nd of December. Remember, on the 22nd we’ll be closing at 1 PM sharp for a festive break — we’ll be back to spoil your dogs from the 3rd of January. ⏰🐶

Hey Doggy Desserts Family......Hooray you've found us!

Let me take a second to introduce myself for those of you who i haven't met yet. My name is Lee and 3 years ago (gosh time flies) we decided to convert part of our pet shop based in Llanelli, South West Wales into a bakery just for dogs, known today as Doggy Desserts.

I had been making hand made doggy biscuits for a long time at home since my boxer dog (Ozzy) was small due to his allergies and food intolerance's. You may think that having a pet shop I would find something that would keep Ozzy's allergies to a minimum. After going through different treats from various manufactures, I was unable to find anything that Ozzy was either able to consume long term. Because of this I was intrigued to find out how natural ingredients without additives or preservatives could be used to produce a healthy, tasty treat. I knew I that needed to make a difference and share my products with other dog owners.

This was the beginning of Doggy Desserts :)

I began making the treats using a peanut butter biscuit mix which contains vitamin B & E. My passion over took and I continued to cook up a storm in the kitchen. The smells were amazing!...My beloved Ozzy would sit by the oven drooling, waiting for the biscuit treats to come out. Ozzy knew I was onto a winner.

After the initial loooong start up process of converting a room in the pet shop to a bakery and also trying out different products it was time to do this by the book and get Trading Standards & DEFRA involved to make sure that we were doing everything correctly. It was a long drawn out process but we got there and was granted the licence. We are now know as a DEFRA approved pet food plant 55/089/8005/ABP/PTF and Trading Standards approved GB/558/E431. All of our baked products go to a test lab to check for analysis and also for things like salmonella and other nasties.

Using all natural ingredients and organic where possible to create our biscuits, cakes, muffins and other goodies is a recipe that your doggy’s will love.

We have gone from strength to strength each year taking care of our Doggy Desserts Family members ordering their celebration cakes for their fur babies and also seasonal items too.
