Equine Rug Wash & Repair are a family business washing and reproofing all types of horse rugs, whilst also offering a full repair service. We also wash all dog and Cat beds. All rugs are washed individually. We also offer a door to door pick up and collection service and 10+ rugs are picked up and delivered free of charge. We offer a very fast turn around.

Happy New Year to all my lovely customers. Thank you for all your support in 2021.

I want to let you all know that for the 1st time since I started my small business 8 years ago that I’m going to have to increase my prices. Electricity prices have rocketed and also prices of the Nikwax solution I use.
From 1/1/22 my prices will increase by £1
So
£9 wash (£7 for fly rugs and thin summer sheets)
£14 wash & Proof
Repairs will remain the same

Also a reminder that if you drop off 20+ rugs (from 1 person) in one go it will be £7 wash or £12 wash and proof

I have put off doing this for years however increased costs have pushed me to do so.

Happy New Yew to all my lovely customers. What a strange year it was last year. Hoping this year we will return to some sort of normal soon. As a gesture of good will for this new year I’m running an offer this January. All washes are £6 rather than £8 each and wash and proof is £11 rather than £13. To all my lovely customers. Even though our country is on lock down, as I’m based at home I can continue working. So everyone who’s rugs I have I can continue washing and repairing them. If you need any back before the 9th Nov then please let me know as in urgent cases I’m able to deliver them to you (social distances of course). Also if you need to bring me a rug that you urgently need, then that’s ok also if it’s needed for your horse urgently. Lastly if you do have rugs that need washing and repairing and you are able to wait until after the 9th then let me know and I can arrange collection after that date.

Sorry I haven’t posted on here in a while. It has been a challenging summer with having limited time able to work with the children home. I want to thank you all for your kindness and patience. I have been very busy with so many rugs to do and It’s much appreciated. You have all supported my little business through this difficult time and I’m very grateful. To all my lovely customers. I am now accepting rugs to be washed, proofed and repaired. As I work from home on my own I’m able to abide by government guidelines. I can also offer a collection and drop off service (with additional measures in place) for you all 5+ rugs.
I would like to thank all my customer for all their support during this time. Your messages and support have been wonderful.
I want to offer all NHS worker 15% for the next month. I appreciate all that you have done and are continuing to do during this time. Please display your blue badge to me and I’ll be able to offer you this discount.
Can I also ask you all to bear with me with regards to time. Although I am working I’m also looking after my 4 & 6 year old little boys while the schools are closed and my husband is at work in the hospital.

I’m lucky that my business is based from home so I can finish off all the work I have in. All be it whilst looking after my 2 sons while the schools are closed. Unfortunately as I’m not classed as an ‘essential’ business I can’t be out there collecting and dropping off rugs I’m sorry.
Please be assured that when this crazy time is over I’ll definitely still be here waiting for all your lovely rugs to wash, proof and repair.

It saddens me to say that Equine Rug Wash and Repair will shut its doors to business until further notice. The health and safety of my family and customers is my utmost priority.
I’m very lucky that I work from my garage at home. So I can get on with washing and repairing all the rugs I have here. (Whilst looking after my 4 and 5yr old sons). I will contact all customers who’s rugs are here.

To all my lovely customers. Due to the country’s current situation tomorrow will be my last day delivering and collecting rugs. I feel I have a responsibility to help contain this dreadful virus. Your welcome to still come and drop some to me if you wish or collect rugs that are here ready to go. However please could you contact me first before doing so. After tomorrow the schools close so I will be looking after my children at home. I can get some work done but unfortunately not a quickly as I usually do. I have no idea how long this will continue for but will keep you all updated. Keep safe all ######

From this to this! This particular repair was just £5. I don’t price per buckle or patch. Every repair is different. Some are not as much work as they look so I don’t over charge the customer. Benefits of being a small home based company is I can keep costs down. 😀

To all my lovely customers.? A few people recently have asked me to do repairs on rugs that have been washed themselves. I want to explain that I have to wash the rugs here before doing any repairs. The washing solution I use kills all germs! With recent outbreaks of equine flu and other things I need to protect all my customers. Hope you all understand. Thank you x

People ask what’s the benefit of using a small company like me over some of the larger rug wash companies in Wales? Well if you have a rug you need washed or fixed urgently as I work from home I can get it done for you quickly as a few of my customers have found out. Also as I do my own repairs I don’t charge for every rip and tear! 99% of my repairs come to less than £8 for the full rug repair! So in most cases worst case for wash, proof and repair it’s £21. Charging for each rip, strap and buckle can add up especially if you have multiple rugs! Lastly you can drop of and collect in the evening which I know suits a lot of people who work!
