It’s good to get the young dogs hunting rabbits in the heather although they still need a lot more experience.
It’s the best foundation for any spaniels career and soon sorts out the workers from the shirkers

Had some brilliant days training this season in stunning places with my wife who is the best friend and training partner any man could ask for. Many times we have looked around and thought, where else would you rather be.

The rabbits didn’t have a good breeding season in some places that we usually go to so we have tried to respectfully give them some peace and quiet.

Thankfully through the kindness of good people we have managed to get what the dogs needed to compete at the highest level.

Hopefully the spring time will be better for the grouse, bees and dare I say rabbits to breed well and produce a sustainable harvestable surplus this autumn for all 🍂 🤞🐰🐰🐰🐰 🐝 🍯

The educated rabbits living in the heather at this time of year are a great test of a spaniels game finding ability and tenacity.
In my opinion this is one of the situations where good cockers always find and flush more rabbits than springers
