Burning Blubber 🥵
What better way to blow away the crimbo cobwebs and avoid cabin fever than a good mooch about on new ground with my full time carer, by kind invitation of a good mate.
The brutal banking’s weren’t as daunting knowing there were a few wild pheasants and rabbits about.
The dogs are now thinking that commands are end of season optional but I suppose that it is their day out as well 🤷‍♂️

This goof, first walked up day out yesterday for a long time and it was if he hadn't been away. Flushed 3 pheasants and 8 woodcock flawlessly. Worked through hard cover, sat to shot, walked through many fields of sheep without blinking an eye, thoroughly enjoyed his day.

Bailey now opening out her pattern, hunting flat to the wind and learning to cover the ground in front of the guns as an open dog should do. Her fitness is coming to its peak now as intended and if the wheels stay on I think she should be ready to give a good account of herself in the upcoming trial, all being well 🤞
