A massive thank you to everyone who is supporting our forthcoming Fun Greyhound Show and Craft Fair this coming Sunday. You know who you all are. From taking a table at the Craft Fair to donating Home Baking for the Cafeteria and from volunteering to help on the day to bringing your greys along to compete in the Fun Classes, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your enthusiasm and generosity helps us to continue our work in finding homes for these magnificent animals. Three cheers to you all.
Ready, Steady, Go!
Start of one of the two of DCGR'S walks for The Great Global Greyhound Walk (Dumfries) at the Dock Park.
More information to follow.
Look at Jet having a great time in her foster home ,can’t believe this lovely girl hasn’t been snapped up 🐾🐾
For well over a year now, Liz Stewart from Paisley has been supporting DCGR in many ways including financial donations and really fantastic goods for sale at our Charity Shop in Lockerbie and for taking to events. Our last car load of donations were wonderful and the cash raised from the sales, will more than assist us in our mission to find homes for ex-racing greyhounds. Not only does Liz donate herself, but her many friends also donate and use Liz's house as a "depository" before being transported down to D&G. Oh and did I say!! Liz is a greyhound owner as well.
Luckily DCGR has supporters Fergus and Liz Lang from Renfrew who more often than not when visiting in Kirgunzeon, bring a car load of the goodies down for distribution.
Thank you all for your support.
The last car load will literally raise a few hundred ££'s and included watches, new or rarely used "named" clothing and doggie related goodies.
We are particularly amused by the interactive cat toy which scares the life out of the Kirkgunzeon resident greyhounds!
Graham and Margaret Hill took a trip down to Southerness this evening to see Alec and Ann's Christmas display from which they hope to raise some cash for DCGR. The main charity bucket is in the Paul Jones a few yards away but donations can be left on site! A few people have asked what it looked like, so here it is.

Ruby has a wee video she would like to share, does anyone else’s greyhound do this too?
Make sure you have your sound turned up ❤️
