The end of the year is finally here!! It’s been a long, busy, hairy month, but we’re now on our breaks, and we’ll be back in January! 🥳
All calls and messages will be replied to once we are back a work ☺️

For years, it has been our tradition to give a small Christmas gift to every dog groomed in December. This year, we’re shaking things up and doing something even better!

As many of you know, we’ve long supported Style to Rescue , a charity dog grooming competition that raises funds for several amazing dog rescue centres. This year, we want to invite you to join us in supporting this wonderful cause.

To help raise money, we’ve crafted 200 delicious hot chocolate cones, made with love and care. These treats are perfect for the season and come with a special purpose! Numbers are limited due to the time it takes to prepare each cone (a huge thanks to my amazing husband for his help in making these!).

Here’s how it works:

- Minimum donation: £4 per cone (cash only).
- How to get yours: Pre-book now—once they’re gone, they’re gone!
- All proceeds will be stored in a sealed money box and donated to “Style 2 Rescue” during a live stream on our social media.

Your support not only brings some festive cheer but also makes a real difference for rescue dogs in need. On behalf of all of us here at Barkingham Palace, thank you for helping us make this season even sweeter.

Pretty chuffed with myself 😊
Recently I had a bit of fun entering an online grooming competition, Riley was a wonderful model, and I absolutely I love how proud he looks after his groom 🤣
We placed 1st in both our class and in our group, so not too shabby! 😬
Our rosettes and prizes arrived today, and they are fabulous! 🏆

☀️☀️WE ARE ON ANNUAL LEAVE! ☀️☀️

Of course always around wet dogs 😂 this is Balù, we met when I went swimming in a stream in the mountains, and it was love at first sight 🥰 dogs are definitely part of my “bear necessities” 😉
I will be keeping the phone switched off for a full break, and everyone will be replied to from Monday 19th - see you soon!

First professional groom at age 2 for this little one. In over a decade working in this industry I haven’t met many dogs that learned as quickly as this little chap! Still a little bit scared of the clippers, but overall looking much neater than when he arrived! And the kisses…it was kisses galore with this cutie!! 🥰

Summer is on its way, and with the warmer (at least on some days 😅) weather we are very very busy giving all your lovely dogs their summer haircuts! ☀️
Please make sure to book in advance, we are booked up for several weeks already even with fitting extra dogs is nearly every day, we’re trying hard to get you all squeezed in 🙏🏼

Our books are closed to new customers, apologies for the inconvenience! 🐾

Ooops, I did it again 🙊
This past weekend I attended another , this time to learn from the talented and multi award winning Hannah from Pooches , Tiffiny from Brite Barks and Kara from Fairy DogMother, demonstrating on grooming a cocker spaniel, a miniature schnauzer and a cockapoo - definitely the 3 most seen breeds is grooming salons!

And I even managed to win tickets to the World Grooming Conference happening later this year, an event not to be missed!! Yeay!! 🥳🥳

Something happened last weekend 👀

Everyone meet Julie Walters 😍 this little bean is a disabled dog that was at Vita Canis - Style to Rescue , an event at which groomers compete grooming rescue dogs, most of which still looking for a home! Despite not being able to use her back legs, Julie Walters was AMAZING, I fell head over heels for her, and I actually think I developed separation anxiety from her, I already miss her!! We were given a special award win for our performance, for understanding the needs of a disabled dog that needs grooming - it was unexpected, and I pretty chaffed! The lovely Samantha Owen from Samantha Splendid Pets and my hubby were there to help and support me too 🥰
The cherry on top was having an idol of mine as a judge, the incredibly talented Verity Hardcastle 😃

The fabulous Claire-louise Nixon at Wheels To Paws Uk is a miracle worker, helping disabled dogs throughout the UK, providing wheelchairs and support, working tirelessly with only the help of her husband and her daughter 🥰
If you would like to make a donation to them they would be immensely grateful, as bills are huge, but their hearts are bigger ❤️
