🐶 Purpose
To communicate with other dogs. The glands produce a strong-smelling fluid that dogs release and contains chemical information about the dog, that other dogs can sniff to learn more about each other.

🐶 Location
A dog has two a**l glands, located on either side of the a**s, under the skin.

🐶 Function
The glands are filled with secretions from sebaceous glands, which are the same glands that make hair greasy. The glands are often emptied when a dog poops!
