Feeding your poodle puppy – Heart Song Standard Poodles. When you take your puppy home (usually around 8-9 weeks of age) they will need to eat 3 or 4 times a day. At 8 weeks old we feed small meals 4 times a day at 7 am, 11 am, 2 pm and then at 5 pm. We allow them free access to water until 7 pm in the evening.
