MISSING DOGS
There has been a number of dogs going missing around SE London recently, as well as across the country.

This is not a post regarding any specific dogs, but a general information post. Whether you have a puppy, a dog you’ve had since a puppy, a rescue from the UK or from abroad.

Rescues (especially ones who deal with overseas dogs) are usually very adamant about that type of equipment a dog should be wearing, double lead etc.

First and foremost the equipment you chose to use should be well fitted, good quality and backed up if necessary.

But you cannot rely on equipment alone. A dog who has gone into fight or flight can sometimes get out of/break equipment.

This is why it is so important to work on your dogs exposure to things in the environment that they might be spooked by, to work on their reactivity, to build their confidence and resilience.
Especially dogs coming from abroad, particularly to places like London, when they’ve never experienced anything like it before.

Some rescues will minimise a dogs behaviour or flat out lie about what they can cope with. Don’t wait until you find out the hard way.

Other rescues will have you believe you can never build confidence, that a dog will always display certain behaviours because of ‘their past’ and you have to treat them like they could break at any moment.

The best thing you can do for any dog is to teach them how to cope in different environments, how to look to you for guidance and help them achieve as much confidence and resilience as possible.

If you would like more information on working on these things get in touch.

Pictured is Dug, who is not missing.

I've got a couple of dogs that are looking for new homes over the Christmas period. The first is a female malinois. 8 months old. This dog has bundles of drive and NEEDS to go to a working home. Lots of potential in this dog. Pictures below.
Please do not messege me if you do not have experience with this breed and are not looking good to work this dog because the answer will be NO. Let's not waste each other's time, only serious hones will be considered for this dog.

The second is a male northern inuit, 6 years old. This dog needs to go to a home with experience of this breed and he Wil need some basic training.
Please do not messege for this dog unless u have experience and can prove it.

Both dogs are ready to go now.
Perspective owners will be subject to a home check. You will also need to be able to pay for training, THIS IS A MUST . However I will give a discount to both dogs.

So if ur interested, send me a messege and let's chat .

Since my post the other day ive had lots of messeges and calls so i would like to set the record straight. Im still offering dog training service's ( behavior modification, controlled exposure/socialisation classes and walks, obedience, recall, ecollar training etc). Infact im rushed off my feet right now. I am just no longer offering or taking in apprentices or shadow programmes or mentorship. This doesnt affect my service or my clients. My business continues as normal.
Thank you for your concern.

Today we passed our NASDU level 2. But this doesnt mean the training stops. It will always continue. We are just another step closer.

This was quite easy for myself and sonja to pass. Because all the work had allready been done. I feel i should give thanks and recognition to the team behind my princess. Over the last 6 months they have put in a hell of a lot of hours behind the sceen's with Sonja and I. They stripped Sonja right back to basics and rebuilt her from the ground up. Over that time ive become a much better handler and myself and sonja have developed into a great team. And thats all down to jake at and his apprentice . These two guys have allways been there for us. Shaping and moulding sonja. Taking her into deep water and not letting her drown. Building dogs isnt easy. Especialy when they allready have issues. Not many decoys can do that. But these guys are nothing short of amazing. They have allways had Sonjas best interested at heart and that shows every time they work her. I couldnt be happier with her progress and its all down to them. Thank you guys. I appriciate you both .

After carefull consideration. I will no longer be offering mentorship, shadows, or any other form of education. Ive been doing this for free for the last 6 years and i allways get kicked in the nuts. Its my right to choose if i wish to continue doing this or not and i choose to protect my peace.
Peace out

in this scenario. i had to leave sonja in the van. retreave the hat and run back to the van to release sonja before chucky chopped me up. no problem. except it was pitch black and i couldnt find the catches to open the door to her crate in my van 🙈. which ment that i basicly took to long sending her out of the van and chucky would have got me if he didnt slow down 🙈. epic fail, you live and learn. but sonja still did her job. so we happy . it was so dark you could hardly see your hand infront of ur face. i had to play about with the contrast and balancing while editing this video so you can see whats going on.
