This week is dedicated to celebrating the incredible contributions of activity providers, who's creativity, compassion and commitment bring joy and connection to those in care environments.

We want to thank our fantastic activity teams who bring joy and happiness to our residents' lives. Each and every activity coordinator and team member dedicate their time to thinking of games, events, trips and more that can benefit our residents both mentally and physically.

Join us in congratulating our wonderful Home Managers!

We had a very successful Home Managers Away Day last Friday, where everyone gathered together for an afternoon, as we caught up on each others progress and thanked the dedicated managers of our 34 care homes.

Each and every one of our home managers help in providing excellent care to our residents, as well as leading their hardworking teams and encourage a joyful environment for staff and residents.

To say a further thank you, we gave out a couple of awards to those who have exceeded targets, shown great improvement, received the most compliments and more, all of which help with the continued success of Gold Care Homes .

To all our home managers, we thank you for your hard work, dedication and support. Lets continue to provide excellent care and enjoy another year being a part of the family.

🎉 We have some incredible news! 🎉

Gold Care Homes are so pleased to announce that Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home 's Deputy Manager Nicol Tachie, has won the Compassion Award for Residential Care in the 2024 Awards.

For over nine years, Nicol has been apart of , starting off as a care assistant at . She then progressed into her current role as a deputy manager, where she spends time training new staff while also providing excellent care to our residents, all with a wonderful smile on her face.

The Compassion Award for is given to an individual who works in a residential or nursing home setting and shows outstanding compassion. We are thrilled that Nicol's hard work and dedication has been recognised within the community.

Congratulations Nicol, we are so pleased for you! 👏

💜Here is what everyone at Gold Care Homes has been up to during November. 💜

We have had many birthday celebrations and staff appreciation afternoons that have filled our homes with warmth and joy. 🎂

We have raised support and awareness for important causes like BBC Children in Need and took time to pay tribute to those who defended our freedom on Remembrance Day. ❤️

Some homes had special visits from new friends like Performing Pets and Animal Mania - Mobile Zoo .🐶

We finished the month off celebrating all who participated in the Christmas Card Competition, as each resident received their certificate. 🎁

November was full of so much joy and happiness, we cannot wait for what December will bring! 🎅

Join us in wishing Nicol and Asvin the best of luck this Thursday in the Awards. 🎖️

Nicol is the deputy manager for our based care home, Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home . She has been selected as a finalist for the Compassion Award for Residential Care. This award is presented to an individual who shows outstanding compassion, we are so pleased Nicol's skills and hard work have been recognised by others.

Asvin, known to his colleagues as Ash, has been shortlisted in the HCPA Awards for The Care Leadership Award. Ash's colleagues at Autumn Vale Care Centre nominated him for this award, because his role as a Regional Support Manager provides them with the comfort and guidance they need to provide excellent care to residents.

Good luck to both Nicol and Ash for Thursday! All at Gold Care Homes have our fingers crossed for you! 🤞

In remembrance of the fallen...

Across our Gold Care Homes, we paid tribute to the veterans and soldiers who sacrificed to defend our freedoms and way of life. We will remember them. 🌹

Acton Care Centre stands faithfully in a long tradition of service and remembrance inherited from the former Acton Hospital, alongside St. Martin’s Church and the local community, to all those who fought. Those who served were honoured in a moving service attended by the Mayor of Ealing, Cllr. Yvonne Johnson.

Our resident Mick at St Stephen's Care Home, who served as a sergeant in the Coldstream Guards, was emotional as he laid the wreath at the war memorial.

Well the results are in and we couldn't be happier to share them with you!

We recently held the Gold Care Homes Resident Christmas Card Design competition and we had some AMAZING entries from our extremely talented residents. It's fair to say that the judging team were blown away!

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that in joint third place are: Jeanne Minton from St Stephen's Care Home in and James Prior from Heath Lodge Care Centre in .

Coming a close second, we have Mick Carless from Broxbourne Nursing Home in .

But the winner, and clearly very talented artist, was Deborah Lee from Beachcroft House Care Home in .

Jeanne, James and Mick all receive a runners up chocolate hamper from Cadbury UK. Whilst our winner has a luxury hamper winging it's way to her from Prestige Hampers.

The design will now be turned into our official Christmas card for 2024, and Deborah will also receive her own supply to send to her family and friends. 🥰

Last Friday Gold Care Homes head office had a joyous afternoon as we celebrated Diwali.🌟

The office was full of vibrant colors and lights, creating a festive atmosphere. Our team joined together over a delicious spread of food as we celebrated the festival of lights.

We also took this time together to celebrate all our staffs birthdays that occurred during the month of October, as well as awarding our employee of the month Lianne, for her dedication and hard work at .

It was an afternoon full of happiness and community with huge smiles on everyone's faces.

We already can't wait for next years celebrations! 💜
