The permanent teeth of a dog include incisors, which are used to nip and bite; canines, which tear and shred flesh; and premolars and molars, which shear and crush. In simple terms, a dog’s teeth serve as weapons and as tools for cutting or tearing food.

💩 Kibble fed dogs have bigger, smellier stools than their raw fed companions. This is an indication the dog did not digest it’s food properly. 20 - 40% of kibble gets excreted as waste. Raw fed dogs digest their food much more efficiently, using the nutrition to its full potential which results in very little waste!

⛔️ 5 Reasons why to avoid feeding kibble to your dog…

1. Kibble lacks nutritional ingredients. it is processed junk food, packed with highly inflammatory ingredients, that’s dogs are not designed to eat. Mother Nature didn’t equip our canine friends with shark, pointed teeth to tear apart brown biscuits!

2. Feeding kibble daily to your dog is comparable to feeding your dog fast food everyday. You could argue that fast food contains meat, but that meat has been processed a significant amount, as well as being mixed with harmful additional ingredients. We are told to eat a varied diet of fresh, whole foods. Why is it then ok for our dogs to eat processed food out of a bag?

3. The worlds first commercial pet food was developed in 1860 by an electrician named James Spratt. An invention purely created with profit in mind.

4. Kibble contains rancid fats which promote inflammation and disease. A fresh, species appropriate diet is key. Diseases are on the rise and this is no coincidence, we are what we eat!

5. Dogs are facultative carnivores. Carnivores lack salivary amylase (the enzyme necessary for breaking down carbohydrates). Taking this into consideration, it makes no sense to be feeding a high carbohydrate based diet.
