A nice, fresh cut for this itchy little sweetheart! Starting to see more and more allergies popping up now that summer is on the way! 🤌🏼 🌸
Matting/excessively dirty fur can exasperated the situation. We recommend a gentle shampoo, moisturising conditioner and warm water. Also be on the look out for those pesky grass seeds and other debris that could be lodged in fur, ears, between paw pads and even up noses!! 😳

He is feeling much better after having those pesky, relentless tangles removed ☁️

Some matting is too bad to fix or even clip 😪 We take a lot of extra time and care in these cases, primarily not to cause distress or pain to your dog. Will your cut always be “perfect” in these cases? No, but it’s about the welfare of our fluffy babies ❤️

Let’s talk about high maintenance and matted coats! 👹

We can brush and brush, but sometimes it’s better for your pooch to be clipped off. Brushing out matted coats can be painful and cause your dog to become nervous at the groomers or even at home when brushing with little or no result!

Be sure to check your pet in the areas that are most prone to matting: armpits, behind ears, collar area and back legs. By doing so, you can make sure that your dog is not in pain as matted fur can merge two areas together (I.e. armpit to chest) and cause pain with the slightest movement or even without movement.

We offer a “maintenance” discount if customers return regularly to prevent matting.

Mila is a Lagatto Romagnolo, a rare breed with a complex coat.

Ideally, this breed should be groomed by a specialist groomer, due to the complexity of the coat. At Noses to Tails, we have extensive experience with this breed and pride ourselves in learning about all coat types.

Leo is another pup that has had anxiety around the groomers.

Leo was very good with his bath, deshedding and nails, but he is still nervous around the dryer and having his ears cleaned.

Usually he has to go to the vet and have two nurses take him downstairs to have his ears cleaned. We are working with Leo to gradually overcome these fears with positive reinforcement.

Macy has been very nervous with previous groomers. At Noses to Tails, we try to make grooming a pleasant experience. Our aim is to have your fur baby calm and happy during grooming long-term.

Macy did very well at her first groom with us and is now even excited to come to see us! 🥰
