When you’re nervous about getting groomed but then realise this isn’t so bad!

What is the Key to a relaxed groom?

Let the dog take the lead, not the other way around!
Most dogs don’t need to be strained - if they want to sit let them sit ; if they need a break, give them one. Trusting their groomer is key and trust doesn’t build if you have to force a dog into anything!

Everyone meet Linda the sweetest Kitten 🥰

👑 Sphynx cats may not have fur, but that doesn’t mean they’re low maintenance! Their unique skin needs special attention to stay clean and healthy. Here’s how you can keep your Sphynx feeling fresh and fabulous:

✨ Weekly Baths

Since Sphynx cats don’t have fur to absorb oils, their skin gets oily fast! Bath your Sphynx every 1-2 weeks using gentle, cat-safe shampoo to avoid irritation. Remember to rinse well and keep them cozy and warm afterward!

✨ Skin Folds Care

Make sure to clean between their cute skin folds to prevent dirt buildup and irritation. Use a damp cloth for a gentle cleanse between baths. No fur = extra care for those folds!

✨ Ear Cleaning

Sphynx ears produce more wax than other breeds. Use a soft cotton pad with a pet-safe cleaner to gently wipe their ears weekly, avoiding going too deep.

✨ Moisturising Their Skin

Keep your Sphynx’s skin hydrated! Use a tiny amount of pure coconut oil or pet-safe moisturiser after baths to keep their skin soft and smooth. Avoid human lotions, as they may contain harmful ingredients.

✨ Nail Care

Their nails tend to build up oils and dirt, so clean them regularly and trim them to keep your kitty happy and healthy.

She’s having a blast!

If you would like your dog to have a stress-free grooming journey, it’s vital to start grooming them as puppies, ideally before they are 6 months old. This way, they build a bond with their groomer and get desensitized so their grooming journey can be as stress-free as possible.

You can either do this with a Puppy Package or book a wash and dry to start with, gradually building up to a full groom. Remember, consistency is key! When you have your puppy on a schedule, grooming becomes a part of their life rather than a stressful time!

Look at that happy face! 😄 Yuki just got the *best* news – she’s thrilled about all the exciting plans we’ve got coming up! 🎉 We’re starting small by stocking some of her favorite raw food no more requirement for subscriptions or cramming the freezer just pop in and grab what you need (she gives it a big paws up 🐾), but that’s just the beginning... 😉

We’ve got so much more in the works for our furry friends, building up to something really special. Stay tuned as we slowly grow into your go-to spot for all things pets! 🐕❤️🐈

🧸When you bring in your poodle but take home a Teddy bear.

This was .hugo.toy.poodle first big boy groom with us! so it’s by no means perfect but we will see him again in a few weeks and will continue to work on training him to stay still during grooms.

Training a puppy for a groom takes time as it needs to be done in a calm comfortable and positive manner here.

Keeping your puppy on a groom schedule from early on is really important to ensure a safe and stress free grooming life!
It also promotes a tangle free and healthy coat which is not only essential for your puppy’s overall health it also makes for really cute hair cuts!

During the warmer months we see a huge surge in Pets coming in with grass seeds. Keep Your Dog and yes even cats safe from Grass Seeds. ⬇️

2. Regular grooming eradicates parasites, reduces moulting, reduces matting. It also degreases and reduces fur balls.

3. Often groomers are the first to spot any health issues and concerns relating to your cats.

False truth ❌: It’s not true that cats groom themselves to keep their coats in good condition, they do it because they are reassuring themselves with self-licking. Self-licking applies a lot of saliva onto the coat and with the rough tongues of cats, this can take out dead hair and cause your cat uncomfortable hairballs.
