There are so many customers who leave pawprints (and footprints) on your heart, and Crumble and her amazing hooman Dee are definitely on that list! 💛

We’re celebrating a very special duo who have been a part of our Balham Bark Doggy Store and Handsome Hound Dog Grooming family for years: Jacqui and her wonderful Springer Spaniel, Jerry! 🐾

💖 Not only have they been loyal customers, coming in regularly for Jerry’s grooming sessions, toys, and treats, but Jacqui is a true gem in our community.

Known as our local Doggy Detective 🕵️‍♀️🐶, Jacqui is the go-to person whenever a pet goes missing. Her dedication to reuniting lost dogs and cats with their families is simply inspiring. She pours her heart and soul into every search, tapping into her contacts, skills, and unwavering drive until each furry friend is safely back where they belong. Jerry is right by her side, as her faithful companion in both her mission and her life.

🐾 Puppy Alert at Balham Bark! Meet Scout! 🐾

We had a very special visitor in-store... everyone, meet Scout, the most dapper little guy you could imagine! At just 8.5 weeks old, this shiny and new, handsome Pointer pup is already on his big life adventure, and we’re so glad his path brought him to us. 🥹💖 It's not very often you see a Pointer pup is it, well its definitely my first time 🥰

Scout’s mum was on the hunt for some safe and tasty puppy chews—and we had just the thing: our favourite Green & Wild's Buffalo Puppy Chews, perfect for little ones 8 weeks and up. Watching this little man sniff out new treasures and wiggle was just too cute to handle!

As if the chews weren’t enough, Scout also got kitted out with a warm and cosy new blanket and his very first puppy collar which had to be Reg&Bob red stripe. We’re officially melting. And yes… I may have snuck a cuddle or two before they left. 😍🐶

🐾 Frida Alert! The Fun-Loving Lurcher Takes Over! 🐾

Guess who’s been dragging her paw-rents through our doors every week (and sometimes twice!) for some seriously yummy goodies? Yep, it's Frida! Our cheeky, gorgeous Lurcher who has fully claimed our hearts—and our treat shelves!

Frida might have been a little shy at first (totally understandable with all these delicious distractions!), but now? This girl knows exactly where she’s going. 🏃‍♀️💨 With her tail wagging and her energy on full zoomies, Frida makes each visit an absolute joy! She’s sweet, cheeky, and just full of beans—just the kind of VIP (Very Important Pup) we love! 💖

And okay, confession time: she’s stolen an extra-special spot in our hearts because... our very own Mini Schnauzer is also a Frida! So yes, we may be biased. But how could you not be when this cheeky furball pops in, spreading smiles as she makes her grand entrance?! 😆🐶

🌍💛 Farewell to Our Beloved Olive 💛🌍

Today, we’re saying a bittersweet goodbye to one of our dearest regulars, Olive the Cavapoo, and her wonderful mum, who have been such a special part of the Balham Bark family for as long as we can remember. 💖

Olive has always been a joy to have in the shop, trotting in with her little tail wagging, ready to sniff out her favourite treats in our Doggy Deli. She has an impeccable taste in chews and snacks, and she definitely knows which ones are her favorites! Watching her pick out her treats, sometimes with friends in tow, has brought so many smiles to our faces. 😊🐾

But it’s not just the treats and toys we’ll miss – it’s the warmth, friendship, and loyalty that Olive and her mum brought with every visit. You both made our little store feel like home, and your support has meant the world to us. It’s hard to imagine our days without your visits, but we’re also SO excited for you as you start your new adventure all the way in Australia! 🇦🇺🌞

Lately, we’ve been meeting so many new faces (and wagging tails!) at our store, and every visit fills us with gratitude. Whether you’re a neighbour popping by, a regular who makes the journey from afar, or a first-timer who found us through a friend’s recommendation, every single one of you has a place in our hearts.

It’s the absolute best when we hear someone say, “Oh, I saw a dog on Tooting Common with a harness that looked perfect, so I had to ask where it was from!” Or when a dog owner tells us, “My pup went crazy for those treats, so I had to come and see where they came from!”

The power of word of mouth has been incredible, and it means the world to us to know you’re sharing a little piece of Balham Bark with others.
