💛 A tiny moment that took our breath away… 🐾

We have lots of new toys for little Rita — soft ones, crinkly ones, training toys, the whole puppy starter kit. But today she found something completely unexpected…

While rummaging through one of Frida’s old toy baskets, full of toys she had for years, Rita stopped… sniffed… and picked one out.
Not just any toy — but Frida’s favourite rubber chicken.

Old, a bit worn, slightly grubby… but it was the toy Frida adored. Her number one for fetch, play and chasing around the house.

And out of everything in the pile, that was the one Rita chose.

It was such a heart-warming, emotional little moment — like she found a tiny piece of Frida all by herself. 💛

Now it’s her favourite too. Every day she picks it up, proudly trots around with it, and gives it the same joy and energy Frida used to.

Some things really do have a bit of magic in them. ✨

💛 Rita’s Little Adventures – Vet Visit Edition 🩺🐾

This week was a big milestone — Rita’s final vaccinations! Even though we’ve done this before with our beloved Frida, we weren’t sure how Rita would feel about a new environment, new people, and other dogs.

But she smashed it. 💪🐶

We took her to Urban Vets in Earlsfield — the same wonderful team who cared so lovingly for Frida. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness, and that familiar sense of calm returned straight away.

It was so lovely seeing Laura again — Frida always had a special connection with her — and introducing her to little Rita made it even more meaningful. After a lovely catch-up and health chat, Rita had her check-up and vaccination… and didn’t even flinch! Far too busy hunting for crumbs on the table. 😂

Lots of little treats, calm reassurance, and gentle handling made it such a positive experience. A huge thank you to Laura and the team at The Urban Vets for being so wonderful — Rita adored you all. 🌼

Going to the vets can be nerve-wracking for pups, but finding a calm, trusted space where you and your dog feel at ease makes such a difference. 🐾💛
