Job Vacancy 🐴

WCRS CIC are looking for a groom for a friendly community riding stables and livery yard in the heart of East London.

Daily duties include but not limited to:
Mucking out (both straw and shavings beds)
Picking out horses feet
Rug changes
Turnout/Bring in
Making feeds
Riding our riding school horses**
Lunging

Must be confident around all types of horses and ponies

Experience working with horses is a must, great if worked on a busy yard and riding school.

BHS stage 1 or equivalent is desirable

**Riding abilty: walk, trot, canter, jump competently

Good rates of pay
Opportunity for right person to develop their skills and training

Another slot has been added to the booking diary for our discounted River Rides after our sold out Tuesday and Thursday 2:30pm slots!

Join us on Thursday 31st October at 2pm for a 30 minute ride through the local bridle path along the River bank of the River Roding at a special price of £15 per child (normally £30 each)

To book head on over to our website: www.wcrscic.co.uk register an account and add your children in as riders. From there head over to “book a lesson” page and select Thursdays date. You will see the Discounted River Ride on there under group sessions!

Suitable for ages 3-16 years. Subject to availability.

The 11:30am slot is sold out but we have added a new time at 12pm and this is available online to book now!

Mini muckers is back for October half term!

suitable for ages 3 to 6 years, little ones can get hands on and experience what it’s like to have their own little pony with one of our Shetlands.

The session is expected to run for approximately one hour and catered specially with our smallest riders in mind.

Due to some horrible fly tipping, the lane to the stables is full of rubbish. We’ve been in contact with the relevant authorities but please drive extra carefully and slowly as you make your way to the stables this weekend. Thank you 🐴

When we say pony, you say rides 🏇

Children ages 2 - 11 years can enjoy a lap (or 3) around our paddock on one of our friendly ponies this Wednesday (14th August)!

No pre-booking required, just come on down and a member of our team will be on hand (and hoof) to welcome you. We ask that parents just make sure little ones aren’t wearing any open toe shoes.

Tickets go on sale from 2pm. Last ticket time is 3:30pm.

Calling all pony enthusiasts, has your child ever dreamed of owning their own pony? Join us at WCRS CIC this August for a fun filled day full of horse care and riding to get a glimpse into what it takes to be a horse owner!

We have two exciting sessions running on 7th August and the 28th August and costs £85 per child per session!

Suitable for beginner and novice children ages 5 to 13years.

Join us on Wednesday 21st August for a picnic with a pony! Your child and their pony will enjoy a ride through the local bridle paths before stopping off to enjoy a picnic together! Remember to bring a packed lunch 🥪🧃

Suitable for all abilities from ages 3 to 11 years! All children must be in long trousers or leggings and T-shirts. We cannot allow any children to ride in shorts/skirts or with their shoulders exposed.

Today was far too hot for our horses & ponies to take any lessons, so they spent the day having a relaxing time in the sun and getting pampered by the team ☀️
