Recently sat again for Miss Mango🐱🥭 back in Barnes and she remembered me from my last stay in August ❤️ She followed me all around the house for the whole week this time 🥰
Sleeping on my feet at night and walking on my head in the morning to wake me for breakfast and lots of fluffy cuddles……..just adorable 😍
She’s definitely more dog than cat if you know what I mean 😁❤️

After five days of rest & recovery following her spade operation and a reaction to the anaesthetic, I treated Birdie (and myself) to some proper walks around beautiful Stourhead 🌲 Bright blue skies, gorgeous frosty countryside and frozen lakes made for some stunning scenery ❄️ Just what the soul needs to beat those January blues 💙

A recent sit with the beautiful Birdie in Wiltshire ❤️ We enjoyed muddy stomps around the Stourhead estate and cosy nights by the fire 🌲🏠🔥🌲
Birdie is the only dog I’ve ever met who loves a nice long lie in 💤 She’s definitely not a morning dog and would hide in her bed, under the blankets until she was ready to start the day 😂 but she has a lovely, playful temperament and independent spirit - the perfect country companion! 🐶🐾 ❤️

Recently completed my final sit for Rufus & Stanley this year 🐶 ❤️🐶 Always a fun time with this cheeky duo, especially the little pocket rocket Stanley, who constantly keeps me on my toes 🚀
I’ve looked after them a lot this year and grown very fond of them both, they’ve been great company! ❤️ As well as getting to enjoy some beautiful walks in the gorgeous, unspoilt countryside around Mere 🌳

Last weeks lab fest in Binfield, Berkshire ❤️
Williow, Athena & mischievous Marley 🐶🐶🐶 Trying to keep three lively Labradors cool & calm in the 40 degree heat was challenging 🥴 Lots of playing in the pool, no walkies for two days and plenty of afternoon snoozing ☀️💦😴
Come Wednesday, they couldn’t wait to get out to run and play fetch with their favourite toys at the local dog park 🎾 The two girls Willow & Athena were adorable, while Marley, the boy of the group, was a bit of a trouble maker…..jumping up on the counters and any opportunity to steal (& try to destroy) my flip flops, but he did save me from a giant house spider so he’s kind of a hero too 🥰

Need a holiday daytime dog sitter? 🏖 🐶
I can help! 😁 I’m also available for daytime and evening dog (and cat) sits in the Bournemouth & Poole area until the end of August ☀️
This is handsome Harry who I sat for back at the beginning of June at Rockley Park in Poole 🌊
His owner was coming down from up north, for a family wedding in Christchurch and decided to make a weeks holiday out of it 🏖
But she needed a sitter for the day & evening of the wedding so reached out to me on Facebook 😁 We had an initial chat over the phone back in March to discuss Harry’s routine & requirements, and then kept in contact over the next few months.
Arriving at Rockley Park feeling like I was going on holiday myself 😂 I had a great day hanging out with Harry and gave him the tour of the park and the beach 🏖 He became very fond of Dorset during his stay 🌊💙
I love meeting new friends (dogs & owners) so do get in touch if you need any ad hoc daytime or evening cover this summer 🐶☀️

A two day sit back with these gorgeous girls last week in pretty Shaftesbury 😍 The last time I was here it snowed! ❄️
Ziggy, Blossom, Topsy & Mila ❤️
They are all so well trained and such happy dogs, I love being with them 😁
Going for walkies early in the morning and later in the evening, because of the heat, meant we caught some stunning sunsets at the top of Castle Hill 🌅

Some essential advice for all pet owners as we head into a heatwave………

☀️ 🐕 When is it too hot to walk a dog? 🐕 ☀️

It’s generally safe in temperatures of up to 19°C (68°F) but be careful when the mercury rises above this. Even at temperatures as low as 20°C (70°F) dogs are at risk of heat stroke 🔥

Heat stroke in dogs is essentially a high temperature not caused by a fever. It occurs when dogs are no longer able to self-regulate and keep their temperature at a comfortable level 🥵

Worryingly, heat stroke in dogs can be fatal in as little as 15 minutes. Don’t take the risk and make sure your pet isn’t overheating in the sun. If you think your dog has heat stroke, contact your vet immediately ⛑

Coastal adventures with little Miss Molly last week 🐕 🌊☀️
The poor poppet was so anxious that she stayed upstairs in one of the bedrooms for the first two days, just coming down for food and walkies.
But by day 3 we had bonded, so we ventured out in the car over to gorgeous Hengistbury Head 🌊
We walked for an hour in the evening sunshine ☀️ along the beach, right next to the sea and with this lush view of the I.O.W. right ahead of us. You can just about see The Needles in the far distance 👀

A few weeks sitting for sweet natured Sunny in Salisbury and the highlight was definitely those adorable ears 😍 and exploring a new area 🐕
A free spirit with a healthy sense of adventure and a super speedy sprint⚡️ She was a charming companion showing me around the city and helping me explore the countryside 🌳 It was such a joy watching her frolicking through the lush green fields, one of her daily pleasures 🌿 along with studying the bees in the garden and having an afternoon snooze upside down looking ridiculously cute 🙃😍

I recently sat for this cheeky duo - Rufus & Stanley, and also Bluey - the glamours grey cat 🐶 🐶 🐱
It was a very similar experience to looking after my niece and nephew, one slightly older and more sensible but both super excitable (and a bit manic) when we go outside to play 🤸‍♀️🐒🐾
We enjoyed frolicking in the beautiful buttercups & stomping through fields of lush green grass 🌿 Stanley (the little black terrier) impressed me with his bravery as he attempted to chase a 4x4 in the next field 😂 Whilst Rufus fancied a change in fur colour so decided to rub his face in all the buttercups 🌼😆 And Bluey, the cat, was shy at first - I didn’t see much of her, but then she wanted to make friends so bought me in a gift - a dead mouse 🙈 At least it wasn’t a big fat rat! 🐀
A delightful trio to sit 🐶🐶🐱 Thanks for all the fun & entertainment! See you guys in October 🍁

Bit of a dream sit back in Shaftesbury 🥰 Makes it all worthwhile when the pets & owners are both so lovely, you get paid immediately and thanked with genuine kindness & gratitude for all your hard work
It was a week of full on fluffiness with Sidney & Boris - I’ve never met a cat & dog that are such great pals! 🐶❤️🐱
Spring feels really special in north Dorset and the gorgeous little lambs are so close by in the local farms 🐑 Sid & I went to visit them every evening on our sunset walks around the village, and they seemed to really adore him - well who wouldn’t? ❤️
Boris’s hobbies included lording it up on the bed, sunbathing and watching me drink my tea ☕️ I tried to encourage him to join me for a workout one afternoon but he said he’d rather watch and critique my technique 🏋🏼‍♀️ Not much of a talker but he did love a little cuddle on the sofa 🐱❤️
Sid the big softie is charming with a super playful character. Full of enthusiasm for our walkies and anything food related, he’s been a delight to sit and tonnes of fun 🥰
