Woofs in the wood is a dog-walking and training service covering St. I offer my love of dogs, flexibility and competitive rates to keep dogs in North West London tired and happy five days a week. I am a Kiwi living in London, I like to be outdoors despite the weather, and having companions to share my walks with is a huge bonus! My love of all things four legged started at a young age. My family o

wned a pet shop and I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits and even peacocks. As a teenager I worked at a marine zoo where I later became a trainer, working with dolphins, sea lions, fur seals and otters. My training philosophy stems from this work: I believe in positive re-enforcement techniques and calm, consistent behavioural management. I am comfortable with both large and small breeds. I love them all and treat every dog I walk and train as though it were my own. Your dog’s welfare and safety is of upmost importance to me, so I will ask for as much information about your dog as possible. I offer:

- Free meet and greet at your home or park of your choice with 30-minute trial walk or 50% off first hour long walk.
- Fully insured and canine first-aid trained walker.
- Walking Monday-Friday with weekends by arrangement.
- Flexible hours and last minute bookings.
- Hour + walks. Unless you require your dog returned at a certain time, dogs will generally be out for longer than an hour at no extra cost.
- Messages to tell you when I have collected and returned your dog.
-Great discounts for advance payment and additional dog discount.
- Invoices with payment made by bank transfer or cash.

It was emotional looking back over all the years and seeing the dogs change, grow up, meet new friends and live out their lives.

Woofs in the Wood says a final farewell to the grand dame, Sari. Our beautiful tangle haired Tibetan left our shores for Denmark in the summer to while away her golden years. Unfortunately her retirement was shorter than hoped and now our lovely girl has crossed over the rainbow bridge and left this world.

Sari, who even at 13 could smoke the majority of the woofers in a flat sprint was such a sweet and funny soul. She certainly marched to the beat of her own drum. She would choose our route by calmly plodding off selectively “not” noticing us calling her with her poor elder hearing. She would then flip the switch and start sprinting around like a complete lunatic.

One of my favourite moments of the day was looking back at my camera roll to see what insane flying hairy-squishmess of doggy glory had been captured.

Sari, you will be missed and your memory cherished. Fly free beautiful girl.

Today we said a final farewell to our dearest Moses, the tiny dog that started it all.

Pure and simple Moses changed our lives.

This one pint sized creature set the Woofs in the Wood wheels in motion and here we are ten years later still dealing in joy for dogs on the daily.

Moses, we just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You were the spark that led us to the autonomy of running our own business, freedom from bosses, a job that doesn’t really feel like work and one filled with so much love and fun. You gave us our logo. You inspired me to volunteer as a therapy dog handler which allowed me to see how powerful a simple interaction between a dog and a human can be. You were always so sensitive to humans and their big feelings. Over the years you gave us comfort when we needed it, always knowing when a hug near the heart was required even though your preference was always a thigh press or a between the calves snuggle.

Most of all my tiny friend you gave us and all who knew you joy.

All I hope is that we gave you back all you gave to us, that today you felt the love as you felt the sun while we sat with you and your beloved human on a rug in the park for the last time. Today was a hard day for the humans who love you but I hope it was a beautiful day for you.

May you rest in perfect peace, you will always be with us little shadow dog.
