Even if we set aside the low-quality dog foods that contain meat meal powders, tonnes of carbohydrates and loads of additives and preservatives, and just look at the higher-quality dog foods that claim to be free from additives and preservatives - they still contain nutritional additives! Would you be comfortable taking nutrient supplements every day for the rest of your life? Your doctor would certainly not advise this; instead, they would recommend consuming a healthy balanced diet of wholefoods.
