This sweet boy is looking for his forever home 🏑 🐢

ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2022
Duke is looking for a new home.
Duke is a 9 month old male Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross. He is a strong boy with lots of mental and physical energy to burn. Duke is currently just over 30kg and will likely gain at least another 10kg.
However, around the right people he can be a very respectful and calm boy. He hasn’t an ounce of aggression with people, in fact sometimes his love for people can sometimes be too much. He will take advantage of a soft natured person and can become disrespectful, for example jumping up with a lot of enthusiasm and not listening when corrected.
He is a young lad with so much potential to grow into a well behaved young man, in the right home.
He would not be suitable for first time dog owners and needs a home where owners are used to handling large dogs.
Duke is dog friendly. In fact he would be ideal to live with a balanced (older than him) female dog but this isn’t a must. Duke could live with cats that could cope with his energy bursts.
A strong willed person or couple with no children would be ideal.
Duke would need to get used to being home alone if needed as he does show some signs of separation anxiety. A home without children is preferred. He will thrive in the right home.
Please contact us directly by email for a pre adoption form for Duke.

Christmas 2020 will be the 8th year we have run our Christmas shoe box appeal for animals in our care. Each year we are overwhelmed by your generosity to our animals and cannot thank you all enough. There isnt an animal that goes without on Christmas Day.
Shoe boxes are donated with gifts inside. It can be a gift for a specific animal in our care or a gift in general for any type of animal; dog, cat, rabbit etc.
Gifts can be a new toy, food and treats for example. Of course a shoe box isn't a must, some donate an item or put in gift bags.
