Who do you know who might like to join our fab team in North London?

Rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced groomer to take over the thriving grooming parlour Top Dogs in Alexandra Palace, London N22.

This is a great location with a wonderful bright and comfortable working space. There is an extensive client list already in place, alongside a standing reputation for excellence.

The current occupant is leaving shortly so we need someone to step in as soon as possible. The position is completely autonomous so you can set your own working hours and put your own procedures in place.

If you wish to run your own business and have the skill and experience to work solo, this is the ideal situation.

The grooming parlour is set within a dog daycare centre so there are always people and dogs in the background, but the salon is at the front of the operation.

There is the option to hire the whole space or if you prefer, you can begin as an employee or contractor on a competitive salary, with a view to becoming a partner in the existing business. There would be full access to our client list.

Top Dogs has small grooming parlour within a dog daycare centre in North London. We need an experienced groomer to take over as salon manager, working solo and keeping the diary. The role could develop into a partnership with the right person.

The successful applicant will need to be able to perform all aspects of grooming to the highest breed standard or whatever are the client requirements. They must be able to clip, scissor and hand strip all dogs with confidence. This is the right job for someone who can work without supervision.

Grooming qualifications are preferred (eg NVQ level 2) but the most important requirement is that the candidate will have several years experience as a professional groomer. The position is ideally full time but part time also considered. Flexible hours 25-40 per week.

We are looking for someone trustworthy and dedicated who can join our team and who can follow our ideals for calm and gentle dog handling. It is a fun and friendly environment.

The ideal candidate will have not only excellent grooming skills but also good communication skills to discuss client instructions and bookings. Fluent English is essential. The role includes managing the diary, interacting with clients and being responsible for the upkeep of hygiene in the salon.

Summer is over and we feel like Ally Pally is ours again! Such a fun walk on Friday afternoon. Best pals Ellie and Lulu, the Labrador girls, were in competition with my Toby for possession of the ball. In the end, we called it a draw!

RECRUITING!! Top Dogs is looking for a dog-loving, dynamic individual to work in our daycare premises in Alexandra Palace, North London. Varied duties would include caring for the dogs on site, walking and driving dogs, assisting groomers in washing dogs, occasional receptionist duties and maintenance of hygiene within the premises. It is a varied role to suit someone who wants to work with dogs and who is self motivated. Drivers licence essential. Some previous experience with dogs in some capacity is also necessary. Most importantly, the applicant must have a genuine care for dogs and be attentive to their needs. Good communication skills are a must. It is a full time role, Monday-Friday, September start. On Monday Charlie was dumped into the grooming parlour and told he was ours. After a few days in happy foster with the Top Dogs family, his personality emerged and he is a sweet boy after all! He left today for his new home and will be missed. Thank you so much to the Spitz Rescue team for finding him such a great place to go.
