The Large Breed Rescue have been helping dogs across the South East and Kent for the last 20 years, Based in Dartford, unfortunately they are now faced with losing their land that they use to kennel the dogs and they are looking for any donations to help them find a new place to operate from,
These guys do such great work, it will be so sad to lose them

It is with a heavy heart, that Large Breed Dog Rescue are looking for an alternative home for our Kent dogs due to the impending closure of our current location.

This will be the 3rd time in 10 years that we have lost our home due to the kennels being sold where we are based. Having celebrated our 20th year as registered charity last year, we do not want this to be the end of Large Breed Dog Rescue.

Our supporters who have followed us from the very beginning, have seen the work that we have done over the years. We have rehomed thousands of dogs, dogs who have come from homes and from the council pounds. Understandably, this news has hit the rescue hard however as always, we carry on doing the work that we have always done, saving and rehoming large breed dogs.

But this is where we need you, our supporters help. It isn't very often that we ask for assistance, however the time we have left is very limited. We do have funds available in a pot, but this will not stretch to enough to purchase our own location and be able to bring all of the dogs into one place.

The amount that we need to raise is around £600,000. This money will be for us to have our own, permanent home in the Kent area. As a registered charity, we have a number of trustees who agree any decisions that are made, so if anything was to happen to our founder the rescue would still continue long into the future.

If you can help us in any way, our details are:

Donations through PayPal at [email protected]

or

the LBDR bank ac 00031933 sort code 40-52-40

No matter the amount, any donation will help us to achieve our goal of a permanent home.

Our next walk we went to Maryon Wilson Park in Charlton, Where he got to see different animals and hear some different noises, He did so well,
Other great places to introduce your puppy to new things, Mudchute Farm, Christmas Tree Farm, High Street, Train Stations, Pubs, (There are a lot of dog friendly pubs in Woolwich) Outside Schools, In the home, Hovers, Hair dryers, and loads more,
Never false your puppy to meet, or go close to something they are unsure of, let them investigate in their own time, In busy places, try and sit somewhere out the way, and just let your puppy watch everything going on, and reward for good interactions,

Today while my family went shopping I took the opportunity to practice some training with my dog in the supermarket car park, It's good to train in different locations, new places, with different distractions, We worked on her stay, middle, and heel work, I also like to take 10-15 minutes on my dogs walk to work on training.
