Posh Pups opened its doors in 2014, all thanks to our beautiful Cavashon Rolo. We wanted to give him the best life possible and as working parents, we could only do this by providing a service to pamper the much loved pooch. Rolo has been our world, and we have been his universe for just over nine years. Rolo passed away last night, peacefully in his mother’s arms, and with his family around him. We are heartbroken but will treasure the many memories that we shared. Rest in peace our gorgeous boy - thank you for coming into our world and enhancing it, in the most beautiful wonderful way 🙏🙏❤️❤️🕊🕊

One conversation I always have with our clients is how to keep your dog stimulated so they don’t get bored and they are getting a good quality of life.. I came across this the other day from IMDT (dog trainer education provider) that gives some great ideas some of the things i have discussed.. a great way to engage your dog in different ways throughout the day to keep them occupied, get their brain working and above all make them happy!

Lockdown has been hard on all of us.. but now that the world is getting ‘back to normal’... your dogs world is about to be turned upside down! 🐶
Separation anxiety is on the rise as people go back to work.. If you are one of them; there are things you can do to help your doggo adjust!

* start leaving your pup/dog alone for 15 minutes at a time (increase the time over a period of weeks)
* introduce a ‘special toy’ such as a treat filled Kong or a brain game that ONLY comes out when you are leaving the house!
* try to walk your dog before you are going to leave them so that they can relax once you are gone
* If you are leaving your dog alone for more than 4 hours; try to get someone to check in on them (a neighbour/dog walker/or consider a doggy daycare)
* and finally.. PLEASE don’t punish your pup if they do something whilst you’re gone! You are their whole world 🌎 they just need some help and time to adjust to their new ‘normal’
