A heart murmur can be an indicator of underlying heart disease. 🫀
Echocardiography (an ultrasound scan of the heart) helps us to identify the source of the murmur.
In cases of heart disease, this enables us to start treatment to reduce symtoms and extend the life of our patients.
If the vet has noticed a heart murmur in your pet it’s always good to get further tests to see what is causing it. 🧐
And help your pet in the best way possible if medication is advised. 💊

Come and join Dotty for her Cherry Eye surgery. 🐶🍒👀
A Cherry Eye is a common condition inherited in certain breeds of dogs. It’s also known as a prolapse of the third eyelid gland. Meaning the gland is protruding out of the socket and into the inner corner of the eye. 👀
It’s important to get this fixed in pets as it can cause potential permanent damage to the eye and gland if it’s left untreated. 😟
We do lots of interesting surgery’s like this one all in house with our amazing team.
Dotty’s eye is all healed now and she’s looking more fabulous than ever! 😎
