Turn Up ⬆️the volume on your TV or Radio. 🎼
Close the curtains.
Lock the cat flap & provide a litter tray. 🐱
Consider leaving your pets collar on overnight.
Walk your dog before dark, or consider missing a walk if they are nervous. 🐶
Do not over react if your pet shows signs of stress - They will respond to your reactions.
Make sure they have a dark, safe space to retreat to if they need too.

🎇 If you think your pet might get stressed by the upcoming fireworks, take a moment this weekend to prepare; 🎆

- Build them a dark, cosy den in your home.
- Check your microchip contact details are up to date.
- Buy some new toys, these can act as a great distraction.
- Consider using a long line, if your dog is likely to get spooked.

Turn the Fireworks soundtrack on, as a quiet background noise to start with, slowly adjust the volume over the upcoming days. 🔊

Buy some new toys - Food dispensers can be a great distraction!

Halloween 🎃 and your pets!

The main cause for concern in chocolate 🍫 is theobromine. Whilst many pet owners are aware of the danger chocolate can pose to 🐶 dogs, the same danger also applies to cats! 🐱

The concentration levels depend on the type of chocolate - Always keep the packaging if you need to seek emergency veterinary attention for your pet, following consumption.

Other than chocolate, take extra care with low fat, or sugar free treats and 🍭 chewing gum. Watch out for products containing Xylitol ☢️ - this is used as a sugar substitute & can be highly toxic, if consumed by dogs.
